This company has caused a big issue out of nothing. My husband and I have been loyal customers of 21st Century Insurance for our two vehicles for almost 12 years. My daughter recently got her license and we wanted to see how much it would be to add her onto our insurance. We called to get a general quote, and boy, the customer service department must be outsourced. Our rep didn't speak English very well and ended up adding our daughter to our policy, when that wasn't what we wanted. ... We had to cause a big scene and go through management just to get our daughter off our policy. She wanted to go a different route and has since found a much easier to work with company. More Less

I had 21st Century for my car for about five years, when I needed to make a switch. I didn't have any claims or accidents while insured by them, but my premiums regularly increased. At one point, it went up a full $50 a month. That was my breaking point and I called 21st to see what was going on. I was told that all insurance in my area had been increased. I got various other quotes from other companies, and none were nearly as high at 21st. I soon ... switched and am happier with my current company. More Less

I used 21st Century for years and they always had decent customer service, but lacked that personal touch other insurance agencies can offer. I was only ever in one accident (not at fault) and they were fine to work with. The negative with 21st Century are their rates - I was able to switch insurance providers and save $60/month while gaining more coverage.

After being victimized by a horrible insurance company I shall not name, I looked into 21st Century by the recommendation of a friend. They gave me a decent quote and went ahead and applied for a policy. I've been with them for 2 years and everything has been great. I've filed 2 claims (neither at fault) and they've been great about handling them quickly. I was expecting some issues with my premium increasing, but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle. To this day, I still think they are a terrific ... company. More Less

From personal experience, 21st Century does not value their loyal, long time customer base. I've been a great customer for over 10 years, bringing both my wife and daughter on board with me. Last year I got in my first ever accident. It wasn't my fault, but you know how it goes. My premium has increased over the past year, and now it is almost $300 more than it was before my accident. They don't care that I've been with them for years and have gotten them tons of business ... through referrals. They just don't care. More Less

21st Century Insurance took care of my family when we needed in most. On a recent family trip, the battery in our SUV died and we were stranded in the middle of nowhere. We were unfamiliar with the area, so walking for help was not an option. We took advantage of the roadside assistance program that 21st offers. They were able to get someone out to us within an hour. The service was fast, professional, and hassle free. They really helped our family and helped save our trip.

The bed of my truck was hit by another driver and was completely destroyed. He was found at fault and his insurance company would cover the cost of the damages. All was well until I had to actually go though 21st Century to get the compensation. I called my claims adjustor and left various messages over a period of 2 weeks. I called customer service and they told me to call my claims adjustor. It was awful dealing with them. They don't call you back and they don't want you ... the get the insurance coverage you pay for. I've been with 21st Century for six years. My premiums have been increasing throughout the years and I hadn't thought anything of it until just recently. I was speaking to my brother about car insurance, and he gave me details about how much he pays for the coverage he gets. It seemed that we were getting the same coverage but I was paying almost $100 more! I have since switched and now am paying a more reasonable rate. They just keep raising their premiums until they are way too high.

After our premium kept going up and up, my boyfriend and I decided to get a different insurance company. When we were due to renew, we manually cancelled our policy and began our new one with the different company. Our 21st Century insurance came directly out of our bank account, and for some reason the automatic payment was not canceled. I've contacted them several times to get a refund. It's been over a month and they have yet to refund us the money even though they continue to give us ... dates as to when it will be deposited into our account. More Less

I was a victim of fraud through 21st Century and they decided it wasn't important enough to let me know. I received a letter stating that my current auto insurance policy had been cancelled due to fraud on my account. The worst part- my policy had been cancelled two weeks earlier. So, with my knowledge, I'd been driving around with insurance for over two weeks. They didn't give me a call to get anything resolved, or even let me know of the fraud before cancelling my policy. They just up ... and dropped a customer, like that. More Less

21st Century made me pay for a mistake on their part. I called to make a payment over the phone, thinking it was be a quick option while I was at work. They must have gotten my credit card number wrong, because I was never charged. I happened to look at a balance statement a few weeks later and noticed it. They didn't bother notifying me or anything. They just let my bill be unpaid. They're extremely unreliable and I've since switched companies.
