I'm currently an Amco customer and I bundle my auto and homeowners insurance. I know there are better discounts from other companies but I've been with Amco for a few years now and don't feel the need to switch. So far, both auto and homeowners insurance through Amco have been good for me. I've never filed a claim for my home but have filed one for my car, and they dealt with it in a timely manner. They seem to be a good company and I'll continue to use them ...
for my insurance.
I like Amco's car insurance discounts. I've had other insurance providers in the past that offer discounts, but Amco offers different ones than I've seen before. I'm currently getting around 5% off my premium because I have an anti-theft device in my car. It was there when I bought the car and I didn't even notice it, but now I'm getting a little discount because of it. 5% is a small percentage, but hey, I'll take it.
My previous auto insurance company didn't offer a safe driver discount and I was sick of paying high premiums when I've never filed a claim. In the 8 years I've been driving without an accident I felt I should pay less. Amco gave me an inexpensive policy premium, with a discount of about 15% for my good driving record. It's been almost a year and they haven't raised my premiums yet. They're a decent company for auto insurance.
It really is a pain that Amco is only open during regular business hours. Last time I checked, all accidents didn't occur within the normal business hour time frame. I was driving home from work at 11:30pm when I was hit from the side. It was a Saturday night, and I had to wait until Monday morning to file my claim. I recently moved and don't have family or many friends nearby, so my car is the only transportation I have. They really need to change this so they are ...
more available to their customers.
Amco Auto Insurance is a local company that only provides insurance to the state of Texas. After having insurance for 6 years through a very popular, national insurance company, I wanted a change. I felt like I was paying for that company to put commercials and advertisements together. With a smaller insurance provider, I feel like I'm actually paying for my own insurance. They've been a great provider, and I'm happy I decided to go local with my auto insurance.
I've experienced such horrible customer service from this place. They are always so rude to me! Also, I have made my monthly payment two separate times (I went into the location to pay) and I have been called and told I am late on my payments. I already paid! I physically went into the location and paid cash! They are either trying to cheat me out of my money or they have a horrible system to keep track of payments.
I'm a small business owner and I try to do my best to deal locally when I can. I've tried to pass this onto my kids as well, so when my son found a very inexpensive local insurance company, he let me know right away. I looked into Amco, got a quote, and was so satisfied with their deals, applied a week later. Not only am I keeping my wife's purse strings tight, I'm dealing locally and keeping the cash flow in the area.
I've found a good policy with Amco with a reasonable insurance premium. I'm a single mom so saving money where I can is very important to me. They offer the lowest rates I can find. They also have only raised my premium once when I was in an accident. They were a little difficult to deal with when I had to file my claim, but that's alright. I'll deal with their bad customer service if I can pay a lower rate for my car insurance.
I've had Amco for so many years and have been a loyal customer. I recently relocated to be closer to my boyfriend. I wasn't able to take my insurance with me because they only service the state of Texas. I had to switch insurance companies and am satisfied with my new provider. I really wish Amco could service states surrounding Texas so I could have them again. But now I am still looking for a company that was as good as Amco in a state over.
Dealing locally is so much easier than dealing with a huge company based out of you don't even know where! I love the fact that I can go into my agent's office and deal with them face to face. I applied to a policy at a local office and it was a good experience. The agent gave me the run down of the policy and was very honest with me. I've been able to stop by and speak with the agent whenever I need to. I'm happy I don't have ...
to call a 1-800 number every time I have a question.
Amco offers the best rates when it comes to car insurance that I would recommend them to any one. I haven't had to file a claim yet, but I've heard from a friend of mine (who originally referred me) that they are pretty easy to deal with. Insurance is one of those expenses that can either make or break your bank, and Amco definitely helps you keep some extra money in your pocket. They have been good so far and I'm happy!
Amco is one of those companies where you get what you pay for. If you need an inexpensive option for car insurance, they are the way to go. But if you get into an accident and need their help financially, chances are they will not be willing to help you out with your claim. That happened to me, and they just were not helpful. They denied my claim for no apparent reason. I've kept them because they are cheap, but I can't rely on them when I'm in an accident.
I'm fairly happy with my Amco auto insurance. I've had them for three years. I filed one claim with them and my policy only increased slightly. My only issue stems from their customer service. They are always a little rude when I call for whatever reason. I haven't had to contact them for more than that one claim, so I don't know how they are on a regular basis. But I did speak with them multiple times and dealt with their attitudes. Other than that, they're okay.
I searched far and wide to find an affordable insurance company for my family. My mother became very ill, so I uprooted my family and relocated to TX to be closer to her. We literally picked up and left, not taking care of the details. Because of the last minute move, we didn't have as good of jobs here as we did before. Amco offered us cheap, local insurance with enough coverage. They're a great cheap option for those in a pinch.
I've had Amco for a little more than 4 years for my three family vehicles and so far I have nothing but positive things to say. They are always very nice to me when I have a question or concern with my policy. Throughout the four years I've had them, I've had no issues adding drivers and cars to my policy. They are always helpful and have pretty good customer service. I would recommend them to my family for their low rates and good service.
Amco's customer service is lacking a little. Don't get me wrong, they have the absolute BEST PRICES in town. But they do not strive to make a customer feel like they are valued. They really make it seem like you are a number and that is all. I won't change, though, because it would be impossible for me to pay anything higher than what Amco charges me. I guess I will have to deal with the bad customer service in order to save a few bucks.
When I had to get my own car insurance, I asked around to see what my friends had. I didn't want to (or rather, couldn't afford) paying too much. I only work part time during the school year so I needed something affordable. I looked into Amco and they gave me the best rates. I didn't find anything lower so I immediately applied for a policy with them. I'm happy to report that it's been almost a year and they are still the most inexpensive insurance around.
Amco has the best car insurance for cheap, but that does come with some inconveniences. To a point, I miss having a big name insurance company, but I also like the personal aspect of having a nearby insurance firm. It's super inconvenient that Amco is only open from 9-5pm. I know of other local insurance places that are open until 6pm or 7pm. I get off work exactly at 5pm, so if I need anything I have to call on my lunch break. Other than that, Amco is a decent ...
place to get insurance.
I was very happy with Amco up until a few months ago. I got into an accident where another driver tried to switch lanes but ended up smashing into my passenger side door. I filed a claim the next day because it was after hours. Soon enough they let me know that they denied my claim. My passenger door was all smashed in and they weren't even going to put up any money for it. I guess that's what happens when you get the cheapest insurance around.
I'm a college student and I know I'll have to pay higher rates for my car insurance regardless. I got insurance through Amco since that's what my parents had, but after a while, I looked around to see if I could find better rates. Amco increased my premium so much after an accident that the monthly payments were ridiculous. I got quotes from bigger insurance companies and also local companies, and all were so much less than my initial premium with Amco. I've since switched and am now saving more ...
