State Farm has been my insurance agent for over 30 years. I have had nothing but wonderful service from . Customer Service has always gone out of his way to make sure I fully understood my policies and keep me updated on any changes.

State Farm has great customer service! My family has had them almost seven years and they've been nothing but good. Every time we call the customer service line, they are consistently helpful. Their claims department also handles claims quickly and efficiently. When my husband was in an accident, they made everything easy. He was out of work for a while, but they gave us peace of mind. We didn't need to worry about bills AND getting our car fixed. They took care of it.

I will never be insured by State Farm. I was hit by a driver who has them for car insurance. They basically wrecked my car and now I cannot drive it. I waited two weeks, then gave them a call back. They told me they are not going to cover my car. They also could not give me a legit reason why they would not cover me. I rely on my vehicle to get to work and college classes, so now I'm screwed. I will never get State Farm for ... my auto insurance if this is how they handle business. More Less

My elderly mother has State Farm insurance. She really shouldn't be driving to begin with, but that's the DMV's problem I suppose. Anyway, mom got into another fender bender and is having a really hard time understanding the process of the claim. It seems like their reps are less than patient with her questions. Not a happy camper.

Not only are their rates wonderful, but they have so many other products that they offer. And you get discounts on your policy when you have multiple things with them. All in all, State Farm is great for my family!

I really like how everything is done online for a State Farm policy. I've had car insurance companies before where I felt like I was playing phone and mail tag just to get signed up. But State Farm does everything, including signing the necessary documents, online. They make it super convenient for us busy moms out there. I didn't have to worry about sending back any mail or returning anyone's phone call. It was so quick and simple to do.

A friend of mine recommeded State Farm and I am glad he did. They are saving me almost $50 a month on my auto insurance premiums. They are friendly, answer all your questions and make sure you have everything you need.

My husband and I have had State Farm for about 7 years now. Last week we got a letter saying they were dropping our insurance. The reasons they gave were ridiculous. Two years ago, my husband was in a fender bender that was his fault. Last year, I was hit while stationary and it was not my fault. A year later, they send us a notification saying we're canceled. Why did it take a year to figure this out? So much for 7 years of being a loyal customer.

My family has been covered by State Farm for over a decade and couldn't be happier. They even gave us good rates when the kids got their licenses. I don't think I even have that much faith in my children behind the wheel!

I've been a loyal State Farm for many years. My local agent wasn't the greatest, but hey, he did his job. When I had to file a claim and could not get contact with my agent, I called customer service. They stated that the only person that could help me was my local agent and that they had zero access to any of my files. I continued to try to contact my agent, and he has yet to return my calls. It's been two weeks. I don't know who else ... to call since the only person I can rely on is not calling me back. More Less

I'm so disappointed with State Farm. They were a decent company for my car insurance needs until recently. I didn't file a claim or anything, their customer service just went downhill. Due to the fact that I was feeling like a neglected customer, I went in search of other insurance companies. Turns out, I've been paying way too much with State Farm. I've gotten quotes from other companies that are up to $100 less per month. Unfortunately, I will be switching companies when my policy is up.

I was a loyal State Farm customer for many years until a recent bad experience. I don't know if the person I had to talk to about my policy was new or just didn't care, but she was rude and didn't answer my questions. So bad that I had to take my business elsewhere.

State Farm has great service. I've been with them for car insurance for over a year and have no complaints as of yet. My premium was slightly increased upon renewal, but it wasn't anything too major. I got quotes from other companies just to see how they compared to my rates, and State Farm is actually cheaper than most other places. They have a great customer service department. I can't complain, because they've treated me so well throughout the year.

After 20 years of being insured by State Farm, they dropped my coverage. I've filed claims years and years ago, none of which they dropped me for. They raised my premiums but that was expected. I got into another accident that was my fault, and they just dropped me. Customer service told me that I had too many accidents to be insured by them. Three claims in 20 years really isn't that bad. I'm just mad that they could just drop me without any warning after all this time.

They have some of the worst customer service agents out there. The local insurance office I go to is awful. They are so incompetent and never seem to know the answers to my questions. I was overcharged (or so I thought) one month and called to figure out why. Supposedly, they had increased my premium without notifying me. I was obviously frustrated with the rep and they didn't seem to care. I will not do business with them again. They're terrible.

Good luck trying to cancel your policy with State Farm! I tried canceling mine two months ago and it is still being taken out of my bank account. I have called many times and spoken with many people. I am already insured with another company (a better, more reliable, less expensive company) and need them to stop charging me!! I can't pay for two insurance policies but they don't seem to get that!

I had inquired for quotes at pretty much all big auto insurance providers but State farm was very flexible in their quotes. I got my auto insurance for a very cheap rate as compared to the quote I had got online. Since it was my first car, I was having difficulties since I had to select between many car options. The agent prepared policies for me for more than 5 cars. He gave me his personal contact number and helped me make a policy in the weekend when I was ... at the dealership to make my final purchase. I would highly recommend State Farm for auto insurance. More Less

State Farm's customer service is just not there! After shopping around I got a quote from them. I though it was the most reasonable so I figured I'd sign up for it. I gave them my information over the phone so they could bill me. I guess something went wrong with my credit card and the payment wasn't processed. Instead of informing me, State Farm cancelled my policy. I was driving around without insurance for two weeks until I noticed that the payment hadn't been taken out!

We've been State Farm customers for 15 years. My daughter has had some health issues, so in paying for the doctor bills, we've had to take out various credit cards. Because of this, both mine and my husbands credit scores have suffered. I recently received a notice saying State Farm was dropping our insurance policy. I called customer service and they stated that our credit scores weren't up to par as to what was required by State Farm. We've never paid our insurance late, so I don't know why that ... matters so much. I guess loyal customers don't matter to State Farm, especially those who are having a tough time financially. After 14 years with State Farm, they canceled me over one little fender bender. Yes, one fender bender. I was teaching my son to drive (who I had previously added to my policy) and while he was making a right turn, a careless driver was a little too hasty and hit us from behind. The State Farm corporate office sent us a notification right away that they were dropping us without a cause.

My car was stolen out of a friends driveway one night I was staying there. I contacted State Farm immediately the next morning to report it, expecting them to help me out atleast a bit. They gave me the instruction to give reports on all of the changes I'd made to my car. I'm in the auto design industry so there was a lot. After I submitted them they stated that I failed to give them accurate details and only submitted partial reports and denied my claim altogether. Instead of ... giving me a chance to give them more info, I was crap out of luck. More Less

I'm not exactly sure how State Farm operates, because I don't get their policies. My parents have had State Farm for years and when I bought a car, they added me to their policy. I ended up moving to a major city and realized that I did not use my car enough to keep it. I ended up selling it and cancelling the State Farm insurance on it. My boyfriend and I moved right outside of the city for his work, where I needed a car. I tried to get ... a new quote from State Farm but they said you have to have car insurance for 12 months prior to getting them. It doesn't make sense, because I was a loyal customer of theirs for many years before selling my car. That should count for something. More Less

The process of getting an insurance policy quote through State Farm is so inconvenient. I got quotes from a few other insurance companies and just did it on their websites. Wham, bam, done. Instant quote. But for whatever reason State Farm didn't give me a fixed quote on my insurance for two weeks. For some reason they can't just automatically pull up your driving record. I ended up not being able to wait and went with another company.

State Farm offered me a better premium than any other company, but I do have some complaints. They charge a monthly fee for you to hook up your bank account and have your payment automatically taken out. I've never seen a fee charged for direct payments like that. Also, they don't mail your insurance ID cards. You have to go online and print them out yourself if you want a hard copy. They also charge a fee if you want them to mail you anything.. Again, nothing I've seen with ... other companies. More Less

I really love State Farm for their great customer service and insurance agents, but I really can't take that my rates keep going up. Every renewal period, my rates go up little by little. Five years later, those little increases have added up. I've never gotten into an accident in my entire life, nor have I ever filed a claim with State Farm. They continue to raise my rates to the point of no return. I'm not sure if they are worth the cost anymore.

"Customer appreciation" does not exist in State Farm's dictionary. My parents passed State Farm onto me, and I in turn insured my entire family. In all of these years, they have proved to be the worst company to get insurance with. We haven't changed yet because they have decent insurance rates. Other than that, they are mean, condescending, and have awful customer service. We've been with them for so long and they still treat us this way.

I've always been on my parents car insurance, but when I bought my own car, I wanted my own. I spoke with various family members, and they all recommended State Farm. I got a quote from them and it seemed reasonable for someone my age. Compared to other companies, I was saving hundreds of dollars every year. So far I haven't filed any claims or dealt with customer service, but the application is very easy and quick.

Even after having State Farm for many years, they have managed to force me to shop around for a new insurance policy. My wife and I have had them for over 30 years and haven't had an issue until four months ago. My wife was in a no fault accident and they raised our premium so much they we could no long afford it. They almost tripled what we were paying before. After all this time they don't value us as customers so we will move on.

I'm really frustrated that State Farm doesn't send you anything about your policy in the mail. I mean, having everything online makes it easily accessible, but if you request that they send you anything by snail mail they charge you a fee. I think that's ridiculous! Aren't you supposed to carry around your auto insurance ID's with you, so I have to go and print mine off myself?? How inconvenient!
