They give on charging me erroneous charges. They put lenders Insurance on my vehicle I will never finance a car through them again.

I, too, got STUCK with a 5/3 auto loan. There customer service is consistently rude, they have no online payment option (because they want to force you to open an account), and if you pay by phone they charge you $15 bucks. I will NEVER have another car loan through them and will walk away before I get locked into a company that offers zero customer service.

I've been paying off my loan with 5 3rd for about three years now. This is my first time calling in with an issue, and the customer service lady is so rude! I didn't have problems in the past, but I had no idea their customer service was so mean. I hope I don't have to call again for the duration of my loan with them.

I had my checking and savings accounts with fifth third bank so I figured I'd just get a car loan with them, too. It's been a good experience. Paying directly from my checking account is so easy and I don't even have to think about it. Everything posts the next day, which is great, too.

I will NOT do business with 5th 3rd bank again. They royally screwed me over with my car loan. Basically, I got a bill after I paid off my loan for “late fees”. Every time I made a late payment, I paid the late fees associated with them. But now I owe more?? I don't understand!

I have been paying off a car loan with them for a few years now. It wasn't a horrible process, but making a payment when you don't have them as a bank is kind of a pain. I'm not sure why they don't make it easier for everyone to pay their bill. I am looking forward to paying them off soon, so I no longer have to jump through hoops to pay my bill

Getting a car loan through Fifth Third Bank is really not as horrible as I've heard. Yes, there are easier ways that things can be done, but hey, it really isn't THAT bad. I know you don't get paper statements, but at least you can call in and get a review over the phone. Also, just set up payment through your personal bank! It takes longer, but just be prepared when it comes out.

5/3 Bank overcharged me for late fees. I generally make my payments slightly late because of how my pay periods are set up, but they have been charging me more than just the regular amount for the late fees. Also, I have noticed that even when I pay on time, they give me late fees.

I called in the make a late loan payment over the phone and they were so rude and inconsiderate. I couldn't believe how they treated me. At my regular bank, they are very nice and always smiling. They were not nice and were hard to deal with. I hope to refinance soon with my bank to prevent this from happening again.

It is very frustrating that Fifth Third does not inform you of your current balance. I am only a few months away from making the final payment, but I don't even know what the official balance is. Next time, I just might try another bank or lender so they give more information about my loan.

I had to make a payment over the phone, only to find out that it costs $15! Why is the convenience fee for paying over the phone so large? I will not be using Fifth Third bank again, because this is absolutely outrageous. Old time payments book, now a huge convenience fee? Too much.

5) The dealership I went directly through used Fifth Third Auto for my loan. If it were up to me, I would have used another lender. But since they used them, we were stuck. The customer service here does not exist because the people are so rude when you call. I know now that this bank is not one I'd like to be doing business with.

I have mailed numerous checks to pay my monthly bill and they ALWAYS take two to three weeks to process the payments. Because of this, I have some late fees to pay. Once they receive the check, they should process it right away, not wait so long. I am very unhappy that they put off processing the checks and I have to pay.

Worst place to get a loan with. I cosigned for my son and when he decided to sell the car, it was a nightmare. I got numerous calls daily harassing me for payment. I explained that they gave us a grace period to give them the final payment. Not understanding. Overly frustrating for no pay off.

When all you want to do is refinance your car loan because the company is so horrible, that says something about the customer service. 5/3's is non existent. They are a bunch of rude people who aren't trying to help you at all. Refinancing is my only option at this point. I can't wait to not have to call 5/3.

What kind of customer service department denies you the right to speak with a supervisor?? I was told that I did not have a “valid reason” to speak with one. My reason was that the rep was being so rude, and could not help me with my issue. Whatever. Never again will I use their services.

When we found out my wife was expecting our second child, we knew our only choice was the trade in our current car for a new one. We had a loan through Fifth Third Bank and figured we'd just get a new loan with them. It's been almost two weeks and no one has contacted us regarding our application. We find this to be very rude and inconsiderate, considering we are on a time crunch here.

5/3 is the worst. Their customer service is non-existent. They're only open during regular business hours, so if you have a job, chances are you won't be able to call if you have an issue. Also, be sure to check your auto pay. Mine stopped working after 4 months and I had to re-set it up.

I honestly find it laughable that fifth third does have any sort of online bill pay option. Everyone has online bill pay nowadays! Also, even getting through to their customer service or bill pay department is a pain. I would definitely not recommend them. I hope to refinance and deal with another company as soon as I can.

Fifth Third Bank is unbelievable. I really don't know why they don't get up with the times. They are so old school that it effects their customers. Whenever I send in check payments, the process period is so long that they process my payments goes through after the due date. It is ridiculous that they are still in business with these practices.

Only do business with this bank if you enjoy constant headaches. They take almost 10 days to process checks, so chances are, you'll get a late fee even though they have had your check for over a week. Also, your auto pay is only set for four months at a time. Make sure you remember to reset it! They are more than a pain.

This company is just the worst. For whatever reason, my account was sent into collections, even though no payment was ever late. Two weeks before my final payment (my check was already in the mail), I began getting calls from collections demanding I pay right away. No matter how many times I explained I had two week, they refused to listen. Get a loan somewhere else unless you want to deal with this.

Really? It's 2013 and Fifth Third still uses a payment book? I can't access my account online! I haven't experienced this sort of prehistoric service from a bank in years. I thought they were a decent lender until I realized I had to send in a payment coupon. Please, get with the times.

I have never been treated so horribly by a bank or lender. For whatever reason, 5/3 was convinced that my last payment was due a month before the actual date. They treated me so badly and called me constantly. I told them when the due date was- nothing. They are terrible.

I would rather not send in a regular check to pay my monthly bill, but isn't the worst thing. I would definitely prefer just paying online, but there's no online account access with Fifth Third. Anyway, my checks are processed within a few days, so it's fine. It'd be better the other way, but oh well.

Yes, it's a little inconvenient that you can't pay online. But I've been paying my loan for a few years now with a check I just send every month, and it's good. The check posts within a week. Everything else about 5/3 is fine. I've never had any issues with customer service or my payment posting. If you could pay online, that'd be great. But if not, it works out now the way it is.

I pay my bill on its due date every single month. I have yet to receive a payment. But I still continue to get phone calls up to a week before my due date demanding that I make a payment. Somehow, someone should really put an end to this because it is disheartening when I DO make on time payments each month.

I am not a loan expert, so I am very confused as to what Fifth Third has done. There was much confusion after I purchased my car from a dealership, and ultimately I was told that Fifth Third sold my loan to another bank. I'm not too sure why. They didn't even mention it. I got a notice from the new bank, and that's how I found out…

We've had auto loans with 5th/3rd for a couple years now, and haven't had any problems so far. We have everything set up in auto pay online, so we don't forget to pay. We will definitely choose them again if we ever need a loan. After these couple years, they haven't let us down.

I was not aware that you could not make an online payment with Fifth Third until recently. I only have a couple payments left and just wanted to pay it off in a lump sum, but I found out that I have to just send in the payment via mail. I mean, I did that in the 90's. I'd rather pay online.

Fifth Third is an okay bank to get an auto loan with. It is extremely inconvenient though that you can't monitor your account or balance online. This is the first lender I've had where you can't do that. My experience has been fine, but I won't use them again because I like to follow my accounts online.

I hate the fact that I can't monitor my balance online!! I do everything else online. This is my only account that I have to call in regularly to get my balance and any information. This bank is stuck in the 1990's and I absolutely hate it. I will use another bank next time.

It really stinks that 5/3 does everything from a hundred years ago. I really have to call in to customer service to get my account balance? With all my other loans, I like to keep track of my interest and balance in order to pay it off earlier. But with 5/3 it's impossible because you have to call all the time.
