Harris Bank is extremely difficult to deal with! I can't make a payment online because they haven't sent me a PIN. But I also cant pay over the phone because my cell does not work with their system. I don't have a payment booklet, so I wrote a check and found out way after that it was not properly applied. Very frustrating.
This bank REALLY dropped the ball. I paid off the loan months ago and they haven't sent me to title yet. I have recently moved to a new state and now have to pay various fees because I can't properly register the car without the title. I called Harris and they were not helpful in the situation, essentially blaming me for the trouble.
I have found that Harris Bank is not customer oriented. Meaning, they do not care about making their customers happy. For whatever reason, they will not allow us to drive our car internationally even though we have already bought coverage for it. We are now unsure what to do because we really can't push our vacation back anymore…
The fees Harris Bank charges are almost unbelievable. On top of the high, high interest rates, they charge crazy fees to make payments online. It's insane to think that they can't even give their customers a break when they are already paying all this money in interest. Unfair company. I will not get loans from them anymore.
I have never paid such a high fee to make an online payment! Really, that much for a ‘convenience fee'? I pay ALL of my bills online and have never encountered anything so ridiculous. My advice to Harris Bank would be to offer a FREE bill pay service to your paying, loyal customers.
How can a bank get away with charging such high fees to people who don't bank with them? Why do they even offer loans to non-bankers if they are going to place monstrous fees on online payments? If you bank with them, I'm sure this is not a problem for you. But I don't, so I have the pay the fee every month.
Harris Bank literally lost my check and then made me pay to cancel that check and issue a new one. How is it MY fault if you lose my payment? Then, their only fix was to cancel the check with my bank, which incurred a bank fee. Then I had to go through it all just to issue another check. Never again.
