Customer service was great. The person on the phone was very courteous, but when you issue my insurance card the make and model of my boat was always wrong. Tried to fix 3 times and gave up and now it just says "other" on my insurance card. Time to update your drop down menu for boat manufacturers and their models.

Cheap premiums equal cheap insurance. We initially got Safeco for our personal boat, right when we purchased it a year ago. Another boat lightly tapped our front, and there was a little dent. Well, enough of a dent to be noticeable. We contacted Safeco and they stated unless it was enough to cause significant damage to the boat, they didn't cover it. I guess that's what you get, not even a second glance, when you opt for the cheapest insurance you can find.

The Customer Service department at Safeco must not exist. I have boaters insurance through them, that I recently got about a year ago. Applying went alright, and I didn't have problems after that. I had slight damage on my boat, and wanted to check and see if a claim would cover the costs to repair it. It was nothing major, but I wanted to check. I called for weeks, and no one ever returned my calls. I've since given up and have just paid for the repairs myself. So disappointing.
