If you are self employed or own your own small business, it is wise to attempt to establish separate credit for your business as soon as possible.

Many small business owners can't get business credit cards because of blemishes on their PERSONAL credit. Crazy, right? This card makes allowances for a few bumps. Plus it's one the few business cards with NO annual fee, definitely a big plus.

Limit was a little lower than I'd hoped for when I started, but they raised my limit within three months, as they indicated in the fineprint when I applied. Now 9 months later, my limit is sufficient for my business needs. I'm a hairdresser and rent at a salon, so I just needed something for supplies and wanted it as a separate card from my personal. It's working out well.

If you buy a lot of mechandise and whatnot for your business, it only make sense to get a card that gives you cash back. This one is perfect for those purposes. You get one percent back for all purchases. So if you're spending a lot, that one percent adds up. You also don't have to pay out anything you've earned on an annual fee, because there is none.

If you are self employed or own your own small business, it is wise to attempt to establish separate credit for your business as soon as possible. One way to do this is with a business credit card such as the CapitalOne Spark Classic Credit Card. This card has a lot going for it: $0 annual fee, 1 percent cash back on purchases, 90-day purchase protection for purchases and fraud protection. But you should be aware that Capital One will pull your personal credit report along with checking out ... your business credentials when you apply for the card. But unlike many business cards that require potential card holders to have spotless credit, CapitalOne may approve you for its Spark Classic credit even if your credit is only OK. You should also be aware that the APR for the card is fairly high at 22.9 percent. But if you maintain a good payment record, you can qualify for better business cards with lower APR in the future. I travel overseas a lot for business, so I needed a card that was not going to charge transaction fees, and I also wanted a card that was going to give me cash back for whatever I spent. I found both in this card. It has no transaction fee, no annual fee and you get one percent back on whatever you buy. Nice little package.

I had 2 other active Capital One cards before I applied for the business card, I am a therapist starting my own business. I was instantly approved but for only 500, my other two limits are both 1500....supposedly they will raise the limit on the business card after the 3rd billing cycle pending no late or overlimit. Capital One is a conservative lender, many complain about low limits and no raises although they will work with people who have damaged pasts. I am only 2 years out of a bankruptcy ... and at one point had a 830 fico, along with a slew of high end cards. I wish I would have never bitten on the "Golden" Amex hook in the past, this business card is simple and meets my needs. More Less

I have a business and was tired of putting my expenses through my perosnal credit card. I already have a personal credit card with Capital One, so I figured it made sense to also get their business card. The CL they gave me is half of my personal one, which kind of surprised me, but I'm happy with the card. It's a pretty straight forward card without any annual fee, so that's nice.
