Here's how Creditrepair.com works:

You sign over the power for them to write letters for you to creditors. They charge you almost $90/month. They then, SLOWLY write a couple letters a month if that . They wait another month until they get another payment and they write another letter or two. They wait another month and write another letter or two. This process could be MUCH faster if they wanted it to be. When Id get a response from a creditor, Id upload it and then nothing would be done to ... address the response. They would tell me on the phone, that the creditor is using a stall tactic, but never what they would do about it. They would just keep sending the same letter to the creditor in an endless loop. Its like robots cranking out form letters.

When the creditors don't respond to the letters. They "escalate" the letters. But not for another month or two. The creditors don't respond to those. They don't respond to these letters because they know they're being written by someone in another country who's following poor scripts and has bad english skills. They use bizarre fonts and type face in the letters that anyone writing these on their own behalf, would never use. They don't show you the letters they are writing unless you make a special request. They don't want you to see the poorly worded letters.

The business model became clear after many months of paying almost $90/month. I cancelled after many months of nothing changing because the creditors wouldn't respond to some of these letters. Now that I'm in the process of buying a house, I have 5 accounts in dispute that is affecting the underwriting during the mortgage process. The disputes credit repair put on my credit reports is significantly delaying my mortgage application and will possibly delay my closing by weeks. I would NOT recommend spending thousands on this company with this type of business model. I highly recommend you request copies of the letters being written on your behalf. Become educated. If you plan on getting a mortgage, give yourself plenty of time to get out of whatever mess this company makes of your credit reports.

BTW- If you read some of the 5 star reviews, they read like marketing lines for the company. Any guesses on how many of those 5 star reviews were generated by employees of the company? It's a known practice for companies with negative reviews to create accounts simply to write 5 star reviews and off-set the otherwise mostly negative reviews.

These credit services are on the more expensive side, compared to other companies. They've gotten a few changes for me, but I think paying that much might me a lot for some people. Also, calling their customer service line is a pain because you have to wait forever on hold.

Really nice how you can check your credit with all three credit reporting agencies when you use this company. They've removed the hard inquiries from my account, which is good because it's causing my score to be raised. I also had an old judgment taken off.

My credit score has jumped 100 points since I started with Creditrepair.com, so needless to say I am thrilled. I did everything they told me to do, and things have been really working out. They helped me remove negative things from my credit report that weren't even supposed to be there.

I feel confident that my credit will get completely repaired, thanks to this company. They are so thorough in how they work and they are focused on getting you results every time. I've also been enjoying accessing the three credit reports and seeing my score rise. What a treat.

I am feeling hopeful after being with CreditRepair.com. I went to them feeling pretty hopeless, but after talking with them I decided to give it a try. They have attorneys to help you and they do help. I have seen my score rise slowly--so I'm beginning to feel more hopeful.

I did have some bad things removed from my credit report with the help of this company, but I have to warn you that I'm not sure that the changes I've seen have been worth the price. They don't offer a money back guarantee like many places do, so that is something to be aware of. I'm still holding out to see how they do and will assess the value at that time.

I've gotten really tired of people telling me that this company and other credit repair companies do the things you can do yourself. I could probably fix my car and clean my own teeth, too, if I looked up how to do it, but that isn't the best use of my time. I've found that having Credit Repair.com work on my credit problems that I'm getting the experts to help. And that is totally worth the price.

This company can pull your credit right away and let you know what your biggest problems are and the likelihood of them being able to help you. Fortunately, they said that my credit was a candidate for being helped, and I'm so glad that I did that. Now I'm sitting pretty with a much, much better credit score, and many more financial options.

I'm really happy I didn't try to fix my credit myself. With someone so important, I can't trust myself to do it correctly. After a short period of time, CreditRepair has removed a few items that shouldn't have been there in the first place, which has drastically hiked up my score.

I have found CreditRepair.com very easy to work with. My credit has jumped quite a bit, and I know they are still working to improve it. The people I've spoken to are generally nice and helpful. All in all, I could recommend them because they've helped me and can help others.

This company helped remove a bunch of incorrect things on my credit. I knew that I could have done it myself, but to be honest, I'd tried to get around to the many things you must do to do this for three years, during which time I just saw my credit score dip. Within just 4 months, they did what I had taken so long to do, and then some!

I was really full of despair when I first went to CreditRepair.com. My credit was so bad that I couldn't get even the simplest of loans/credit cards, etc. I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to get back on top, but I finally did thanks to their help. I am making my way back, slowly but surely and will soon have my credit good again.

Having credit problems is so distressing that it's really hard to even talk about it. At this company they are so understanding that they made me feel calm and able to deal with the situation. I began to feel better and better each day, and I noticed that as that happened and I and they did what as supposed to be done that my situation has improved.

I was told all three credit bureaus would be improved when CreditRepair.com fixed my score, but for whatever reason Experian didn't budge. The other two did, but this one counts just as much for some things. I'm not sure why and have yet to get any sort of resolution from this company.

These guys are pretty friendly, but they're taking their sweet time with my credit. The fees are high enough, now I have to pay for you all to dilly-dally? They need to hurry it up and provide more efficient service to their paying customers, or else they won't have any more.

I was in a real mess with my credit in the toilet and I wanted to buy a car. I knew I had to get it together as quickly as possible, so I went to Credit Repair.com. It wasn't easy to do everything they needed me to do, but I did it and I am glad that I did. My credit is looking better little by little and it's all because of them. I know it's getting better, because I can see the results when I see my credit report.

Everyone knows that when you have bad credit, it determines so many things in your life. Honestly, I was sick of a number determining whether or not I could qualify for a home loan. With this company, my outlook has changed drastically. Now I have a more positive future financially.

I had way too many hard inquiries on my credit that were affecting my score from all 3 reporting bureaus. Luckily, CreditRepair.com helped take most of them off which increased my score all around. I'm a lot happier and relieved that I don't have to worry about this anymore and can relax.

CreditRepair.com takes a 21st Century approach to the credit repair process. Customers receive a personalized online dashboard, which they can access on a 24/7 basis via their computers or through a Smartphone app. Users can also contact agents by telephone; agents are available from 8 a.m. to midnight on Monday through Friday; 9 am to 7 pm on Saturday and 11 am to 7 pm on Sunday. CreditRepair.com emphasizes its expertise and advanced technology as a factor to distinguish its service from its competition. That said, the services offered ... by CreditRepair.com include the usual array of challenges to inaccurate or misleading items included in a credit report. There is also ongoing credit monitoring through the TransUnion credit reporting bureau. CreditRepair.com charges $89.99 per month for its services along with a one-time charge of $12.99 to pull your initial credit report. CreditRepair.com is also careful to state that there is no guaranteed time frame for results, although several testimonials from satisfied customers are featured prominently. More Less

CreditRepair.com gets an A++++ in my book. They do an unlimited number of disputes in order to clean up your credit. I needed a lot done, so that was a good thing. Their work has raised my score by more than 100 points, which totally blows me away. I would have gone to them sooner if I'd known.

I was with creditrepair.com for 4 months. I would recommend ONE month for them to do what they can with any negative credit that is accurately INcorrect. Then, get out. What they do is continue to send challenges on everything to all three credit bureaus, over and over, each month. The challenges temporarily mask the negative charge artificially raising your score while the challenge is in place. BUT, if you try to do something like refinance your home, the mortgage lender will NOT like to see all of those challenges ... on your record! So you wait for them to come off and that WHAM! The challenges are off and the negative charge is still there and your credit score drops again. In MY experience (you decide for yourself), the company is great and responsive for erroneous things that should come off and that can be taken care of in the first month with the first set of challenges. I made the mistake of letting them convince me to keep on allowing them to challenge and rechallenge the same issues, with no progress made and considerable expenditure on my part. Be aware of the other ramifications of having these “challenges” on your record that they don't tell you about. Good luck! More Less

As far as credit repair companies go, CreditRepair.com is a leader. If you prefer a modern self-serve interface for these sorts of tasks you're not going to find a better product on the market.

When I started with CreditRepair.com's online system, I had an idea of what my perfect credit score would be. I haven't reached it yet but I'm a lot closer than before. I had no idea they could make my ideal score a reality so quickly and with so little effort on my part.

I have many complaints for Credit Repair.com. I think they are just way too expensive for what they offer. Paying that much, I thought I'd have A+ customer service, but no. It also took way too long for them to fix anything. I am going to put my money elsewhere and hope for the best.

I wasted too much time with this company. Their process is real generic and found out that what they were doing was easy. I was trying to get a home and the loan officer I was used refer me to a company that used lawyer, White, Jacobs. These guys are AMAZING! I did about as much research as the next guy and talked to about 10 different companies and everyone said the same things except when I got a hold of them. All I can say is that ... in 5 months they had me ready to buy my very first house! I wish I would have found them before wasting my money with these guys. I owe to everyone that is looking for a good company to refer them to www.whitejacobs.com - they even have an A+ with BBB More Less

CreditRepair.com is full service credit repair company that along with its credit repair services offers credit monitoring, credit score tracking and 24/7 access to your account. The company has licensed attorneys on staff and has been in business since 1997, which is welcome in an industry with so many upstart companies without a proven track record.

On the downside CreditRepair.com is one of the more expensive credit repair companies and, as of March 2014, has a B- rating with the Better Business Bureau, which isn't terrible but isn't a red ... hot recommendation either.

What You Get

CreditRepair.com's uses a three-step approach to fixing your credit. First, experts review your credit report for negative items and provide advice on which items you should dispute. Second, they help you write to the credit bureaus and creditors to challenge items that are either inaccurate, unfair or unsubstantiated. Finally, they request correction or removal of negative items that don't meet the standards set by the Federal Trade Commission.

Superior Tracking Tools

CreditRepair.com excels at keeping you informed about the progress of your credit repair. You can keep track of CreditRepair.com's work on your credit file either through their intuitive website or by using a dedicated mobile app that is free for members.

Superior Credit Monitoring Services at a Price

CreditRepair.com has a partnership with TransUnion, one of the national credit bureaus, which allows it to include comprehensive credit monitoring services to their credit repair plan.

The extra services come at a price: $89.95 a month and a one-time $12.99 credit report processing fee, to be precise. A monthly fee of $89.95 puts CreditRepair.com on the high end of credit repair companies. Lexington Law and Sky Blue offer basic plans for $59.95 and $49, respectively.

However, this is an all-inclusive plan with no additional fees, setup charges or costs, which fares well when compared to the premium plans of other established credit repair companies, such as Lexington Law's Concord Premium plan that costs $99.95 a month plus the $99 setup charge applicable to all Lexington Law's plans.

Guarantees

CreditRepair.com doesn't claim it can remove all negative credit, as so many bogus credit repair companies do. Instead, its claims are refreshingly low key. According to Celeste Adams, media contact for CreditRepair.com, customers see 7% of questionable credit report negatives removed every month; and, on average, 11 negative item are removed in just 4 months of service.

CreditRepair.com does not advertise a money-back guarantee. Yet, after reading all 19 complaints -- all addressed and resolved -- made to the Better Business Bureau in the last 36 months, it is clear CreditRepair.com has the policy of refunding unsatisfied customers as a courtesy.

Conclusion

CreditRepair.com is a good choice for customers looking for a large, well-established credit repair company that includes credit monitoring services and superior customer service -- and don't mind paying a little more for the privilege.

As a long term credit monitoring service CreditRepair.com's monthly fee is hard to justify. Once credit repair companies resolves questionable negative items on your credit file, there's not an awful much more they can do to help. On the other hand, a few months in the hands of experienced credit repair experts can quickly pay for itself in lower interest rates and insurance premiums, if your credit score improves.

I'd say Creditrepair.com helped me out a lot. The only complaints I have are the times it takes to update in the system. Something will be fixed, but it will take a couple weeks to show on your credit. If they hurried it up, it would be a lot better.
