Message from General Electric Credit Union

Chartered in 1954 for employees of General Electric Aircraft Engines, we’ve grown to one of the largest credit unions in the state of Ohio. Expanding our membership, we now serve nearly 200,000 people across the Greater Cincinnati area. Federally insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), governed by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) which is to credit unions as the FDIC is to banks, your savings are federally insured up to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government. What does not-for-profit mean? As a not-for-profit financial institution, our end purpose isn’t to make a profit, but rather provide members better financial solutions. Instead of having paid shareholders, we have a volunteer board of directors comprised of real members making real decisions. Each and every one of our members owns a share of the Credit Union and we keep their best interests at the forefront of everything we do.

A not-for-profit, full-service financial institution, we’ve experienced significant growth throughout the years and continue to be one of the most secure, stable financial institutions in the country. We’ve always remained true to the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” meaning our products and services are designed to benefit our members. We don’t create hoops to jump through or trick you with the fine print. We want to provide better financial solutions for those in our communities that will in turn, better their lives. We believe in our tri-state, our hometowns, and the people who live and work in our communities. No matter where you are in life, we have financial solutions for anyone interested in earning more on their money and setting themselves up for financial success. If you live, work, worship, or attend school in the Greater Cincinnati area, you can join GECU and enjoy all the perks we offer to make banking more convenient and less stressful. Learn more about our membership eligibility. While we offer many of the same products and services as a bank, we’re so much more than just a place to bank. We want to be your financial partner and our focus is finding ways to help our members financially succeed. Learn more about what makes us different. As a Credit Union, our goal is to empower members by providing the tools and resources necessary to help make better financial decisions. Everything we do is to Improve the Quality of Financial Lives; from offering industry-leading rates to on-hand professionals ready to meet with you, we make every decision to help our members financially thrive.

Review for General Electric Credit Union The Classic Card

There was no real-time warning that fees were stacking, and transactions were paid rather than declined.
