A while back a pipe busted in our home and mold started growing. Liberty Mutual sent someone out to inspect within a couple of days. They got rid of the problem within a week which was awesome because i have 2 small children and was very concerned about it affecting them.

Lliberty Mutual created a false homeowners policy in my name. without my consent. I have been having to deal with this for over a year now and still dont have it resolved. Do not use this company.

I had a fire in my kitchen 6 months ago. I contacted Liberty Mutual and all i have gotten is a big run around. This company is horrible. I am a single mother and kept my policy up to date and this is how i get treated.

Mobile claim filing! What! I recently came across this beauty, and let me tell you, it's a great feature for an insurance company. I've been with Liberty Mutual for a few years, but just recently downloaded their app to my iphone. It makes everything so much more convenient for me. Luckily, I haven't needed to file a claim with them for my homeowners insurance yet, but I have taken advantage of the mobile payment option. How convenient!

When I bought my new home, I went to Liberty Mutual for my home insurance. The house was brand new, and the first year, there were no issues. But, out of the blue, my premium was raised. I only found out because I went to make a payment, and it was higher than usual. After contacting them, they stated that since I was no longer a new homeowner, my premium went up. I didn't know this would happen, and the increase in price was significant. I'd go elsewhere unless you're ... prepared for a raise in price. More Less

Liberty Mutual cancelled my insurance policy because of peeling paint! I bought my home just over a month ago, and got LM at the same time. All was good. They didn't indicate any problems whatsoever. Yesterday I received a letter that they were cancelling our policy. They listed peeling paint as the reason and stated that they will be contacting our mortgage company to let them know. This is ridiculous. Something as silly as peeling paint..

Liberty Mutual homeowners insurance goes above and beyond for its customers. They have an emergency repair aspect to their insurance, which I've never seen with other insurance providers I've had. We had some damage done in our basement from water leakage after a storm, and they were able to fix it quickly to prevent further damage. If they hadn't been able to get out and get it patched up, we wouldn't faced higher repair costs, but they really came to the rescue.

I'm a big fan of Liberty Mutual's mobile app. I haven't used an app for my insurance before, and this was a first. It is really user friendly, and provides all of the features you'd need from an insurance company. I pay my monthly premium through the app, and have also directly contacted a representative when I needed to make a claim. I could contact them immediately when there was damage done to my house, and they were able to take care of it right away.

I love Liberty Mutual for it's ease of use and great service. Applying for a homeowners insurance policy was so simple and quick. They offered a low price, which I couldn't argue with for the amount of insurance I was getting. They are also great when you file a claim. Filing a claim is stressful as is, but they made it easier for us. They gave us the money to repair our homes damages after a storm. We truly appreciate them making it easy for us.

Liberty Mutual has been my home insurance provider for years now. My only complaint with them is that they take a bit of time to resolve your claims and issue compensation, compared to other insurance companies I've had. But, they offer a great mobile app, as well as a tablet app, that allows you to pay online. When you're on the go, this is great. Also, their customer service department is decent. You can't say that about too many other insurance companies...

My family and I have been loyal Liberty Mutual customers for years, probably almost 15. We have them for our home insurance. When a friend recently mentioned the great deal he got on home insurance through another company, I decided to investigate. Turns out, we'd been overpaying for Liberty Mutual since we started with them almost 15 years back. I called to ask about lower priced options, and they weren't the most helpful people to speak with.

I've been using Liberty Mutual for about 10 years for my homeowners insurance, and I haven't had any issues. My home at the time was brand new, and I qualified for the new home discounts. I ended up moving for a job, and bought a home that was a bit older. Turns out, they don't provide insurance coverage for older homes. If you home requires an HO8 policy, Liberty Mutual won't provide coverage for it. I ended up having to get home insurance elsewhere, which was a bit of an ... inconvenience on my part. More Less

I'm not sure if I can trust Liberty Mutual. I was looking to switch my homeowners insurance because my previous company was extremely unreliable when it came to claims. Both my husband and I began calling around to various companies to get quotes and additional information. Without knowing it, we both called Liberty Mutual. Turns out, they gave us different quotes. Very different quotes. We wanted to test it again and called them a third time, and yes, they gave us another number! I don't know why they aren't consistent ... across the board, but I guess your quote just depends on who you call. Just hope you call someone good so you get a better price. More Less

I've always been a fan of Liberty Mutual. I have insurance through them for various other things, but my homeowners is the most important. They clearly put a huge emphasis on customer service, and dealing with them for anything has always been a pleasure. I've had to file claims with them in the past, both for homeowners and other insurance, and they've always been so helpful. They are easy to get a hold of, and are so professional. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Liberty Mutual, by far, is the most affordable insurance I've ever come across. They insure both my home and automobile at the present time. I had to file a claim for my home and they have very low deductibles. Not to mention my yearly premiums are already on the low side. My only issue is that I felt like it took them a while to get an adjustor out to look at the damages. It was about a week, when I was expecting a few days. Liberty Mutual has an around the clock claims department available, which is really convenient. I've had other insurance companies where I had to wait until morning, or even the next business day if it was the weekend, to file a claim. Those companies obviously don't know that home damages and accidents don't occur on a Monday through Friday, 9-5 basis. I like that Liberty Mutual invests in having those claim representatives available at all times, and it gives me peace mind.

Liberty Mutual was not reliable when I needed a file a claim. My home was burglarized and vandalized one night while we were away. We came home from eating dinner out and found our home in a horrible state. My husband was working late so it was just me and my three young children, all under the age of 5 (my youngest is 3 months old). I had to walk into my home, holding my children and trying to explain to them what happened while being in shock myself. Needless ... to say, it was a traumatic experiences. Liberty Mutual refused my claim. I had to literally call and yell at a manager of the claims department just for them to resolve my claim. It was a time of stress and they made the situation ten times worse. More Less

Liberty Mutual handled our claim just right. We've had horrible experiences filing claims in the past with other companies, but Liberty Mutual was more than helpful. I felt like we got a fair settlement and that they actually cared about us. We were able to get our property fixed quickly and get everything back to normal. We've been with them for 10 years and don't have any plans of changing anytime soon.

Liberty Mutual really is a sleazy insurance company. I get my home insurance through them, and believe me, they are rats. I've had them about 6 years and have made 2 claims so far. Every time, it seems like they do everything in their power to get around my claim and keep their money. Even though I pay insurance for personal items that could be damaged in my home, they only count instances that would rarely happen. If something feasible happens and damages your items, you're out of luck with ... this company. More Less

As a long time Liberty Mutual customer, you'd think they'd be a bit more helpful. In the time I've been with them, I've bought a house, added my husbands car, and have made every payment on time. I don't complain when my rates increase, I don't even call to try to bring the rates down. I just bite my lip and bare it. But when I filed a claim for my home (the first in 3 years) and they were not the helpful folk I thought they were, I exploded. ... My husband and I are paying out so much money for our insurance through them, and they take their sweet time to get an adjustor out to our home. Then, the adjustor is rude. He does not assess the damages thoroughly and writes a claim that is less than the actual damages. Long story short, we've switched companies. We can't take them anymore. More Less

Liberty Mutual canceled my insurance policy two months after I got them for reasons they wouldn't tell me. I literally had to figure it out myself. Recently, the insurance companies in the area had tightened their reins on insuring the homes that have a certain type of roof. I'm assuming this is why they dropped me. My question is, why would they even give me a quote if they knew they weren't going to insure me? Why didn't they ask about my roof beforehand?

I decided to get home owners insurance from Liberty Mutual because my previous insurance went up $600 a year. After cancelling and getting Liberty Mutual a guy shows up at my house to take pictures of my property. A week later i recieved a cancellation notice from Liberty Mutual.. Unbelievable!

Oh, the frustration! When I bought my home a few months ago I got various quotes from a bunch of different companies for the insurance. Liberty Mutual was pretty low and they seemed to offer a bit of coverage. When I actually received my policy, it was $150 more than my original quote. I contacted them to figure out why, and apparently the heating system I had entailed them to raise the price of my premium. If I'd known this, I wouldn't have gone with them.

We had storm damage and water got into my home. Librty Mutual sent an adjuster to my home and was extremely rude and seemed like he did not care to talk to us. He underestimated the cost of repairs . Avoid this company!

I had to file a claim through Liberty Mutual after a huge storm hit the area. Hail and ice chunks severely damaged my roof. Obviously, I couldn't live with a huge hole in the roof, so I needed immediate assistance. Liberty Mutual got an adjustor out to my home the next day to asses the damage. Within a week, I received a check. I immediately hired a roofer and so far, everything has worked out. They were quick and reliable, and I'd highly recommend them.
