Our house was financed with Bank of America, who we were very happy with and sold our loan to Nation Star Mortgage, we have been unhappy with Nation Star Mortgage since day one. Our bills never come in on time and we have to send in the payment early without voucher because they can never mail it out on time. If we wait for the vouchers, our payment is already late. We have called repeatedly about this and they seem to not care. A few months ago, we received a ... notification in the mail about our escrow shortage, with this letter, it said you can leave existing payments as is if paid in full so your house payment would remain the same. So we paid payment in full to leave our payments the same. After making a payment, our house payment increased anyway with no explanation as to why this took place. We called customer service and we talked to the manager, who was very rude and kept arguing with me over the phone. He could not give me an explanation as to why it went up and neither could any of the representatives. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. They have been more of a headache than a help. We are looking for another company to refinance with because we don't trust them. They tell you every year that you can send a payment to keep your house payment the same but they charge you more anyway when you sent a payment in. More Less
