I used to have State Farm for my auto insurance but switched to another carrier years ago, because they offered better rates. I still have my life insurance with State Farm, because it's a policy I started many years ago. I have had good service in terms of getting answers about the insurance policy; rate increases etc., which so far haven't been too bad. My policies are also paying nice dividends. Of course, I won't know if I made the absolute best choice until....but for now it seems like a ... good choice. More Less

I really enjoyed the customer service, I applied for life insurance becuase they recommended that I get a whole life policy to lock in a low rate. I was shocked that they wanted me to get a cheap rate. I have never had a problem with State Farm, and I know they are willing to work with me the whole way through.

The policy questions became tedious, but for life insurance it really is expected to answer loads of questions. I didnt have to submit to an examine.

I am a 64 year old with no medical problems and I am insured with State Farm for auto and home. I called to get a quote on life insurance and they won't even write a policy for me. I guess I will get someone else to insure my auto and home.

I had stare farm for 28 years . My home , lakehouse and all my cars and boat. I had 2 clames on my home in a 3 year time range . A leak in my kitchen and my wife weeding ring stolen away from my house. After 28 years State Farm drops my home and tries to get me to keep my Lakehouse and cars with them. I drop everything and had all my family members to do the same. State Farm there ! ... For you payments only More Less

You better hope you don't have a burglary. State Farm will drop you so fast your head will spin. It does not matter that you lock, deadbolt the door, or have ADT (which State Farm gives a discount). My back door was kicked in November 2011 and most of my jewelry was stolen. The back door was fixed and I received a small reimbursement from State Farm. In September 2012, the back door was kicked in again and the few items of jewelry ... I had left were stolen. I received about the same amount of reimbursement and had ADT installed. One week ago, State Farm sent a nice form letter informing me that my homeowner's policy will not be renewed. My agent submitted an appeal, but was not hopeful. He was correct. Within two days, he received the denial. It does not matter how long or how much money you have paid State Farm, you will be dropped. The underwriter I just spoke to told me my claims were not weather related so there is nothing that can be done. Other insurance companies may do the same thing, but "Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm is NOT there". More Less
