Message from Numerica Credit Union

Railroads were expanding in America's Northwest, and the workers wanted to pool their modest resources to support one another. A bond was formed. One man's savings was rewarded with the interest paid on a loan given to another. In 1937, Spokane Railway Credit Union (SRCU) was born, and continued to evolve as the economy climbed. SRCU grew to support the employers of other transportation systems and shippers, and by the year 2000, had expanded to serve more territories in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. In 2000, SRCU adopted a more inclusive name to serve the well-being of even more members. Soon thereafter, Numerica Credit Union merged with North Central Credit Union (NCCU) gaining approximately 8,000 members and three branches in the Wenatchee Valley Area. In October 2003, Numerica purchased property in Kennewick for a new branch that opened in December 2004. During the same time period, a merger was made with Coeur d'Alene Teachers' Credit Union, expanding our membership in North Idaho. Numerica Credit Union has been recognized for our forward thinking branch design (2015 CUNA OPSS Excellence in Branch Design Award Winner), outstanding business practices (2015 Greater Spokane Agora Award Winner and finalist in Best Places to Work Inland Northwest 2017, 2018, and 2019), and community support (2014 Philanthropic Corporation Winner as well as 2019 Excellence in Financial Literacy Education).

We are especially proud of our employees, one of our most valued resources, who have been consecutively recognized as 'rising stars' in the Inland Northwest business community (2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 Inland Business Catalyst "20 Under 40", and 2017 Wenatchee World's "30 under 35"). Numerica’s leadership exemplify the path for excellence. Numerica’s President and CEO, Carla Cicero, was recognized by Bozzi Media’s Power 50 in 2019 as well as the YWCA 2019 Inland Northwest’s Women of Achievement award. That same year, Jennifer Lehn, VP product and external development, was recognized as one of the Top 20 Women in Business Leadership by Bozzi Media. In March 2018, Numerica merged with Monad Federal Credit Union adding another 2,500 members to our family. We demonstrated our commitment to the Tri-Cities in 2019 with a remodel of our Kennewick Branch to create a centralized location for our Home Loan and Business teams and a new branch build in Pasco. The new Pasco Branch served as a cornerstone in a newly-built strip mall, boasting 3,100 square feet. Numerica Credit Union's mission is to enhance lives, fulfill dreams, and build communities. Support from our loyal members has helped to build a strong foundation, inspiring Numerica to give back to our community. Through donations, fundraising and sponsorships, Numerica focuses on fostering education, supporting women and children, and ending hunger and homelessness. We do this by supporting causes that lend a helping hand, create leaders, and celebrate our community.
