Customer service for this place is stellar. I thought I was missing some points and I called to find out what happened. It turned out that I wasn't actually missing any points, but the customer service person took my problem really seriously. She totally and thoroughly looked into the issue and even checked with a supervisor to make sure that I wasn't missing any points. She was totally polite the whole time.

What a great deal! No annual fee the first year; no foreign transaction fees and not even a transfer fee!! The latter is really unheard of. Of course, you have to get invited into this elite club by having excellent credit. I would suggest if your your credit score is not at least 750 waiting until you can get it up to that or higher before applying.

Love initial welcome perks on cards, like this one. Just spend $3,000 on purchases in the first three months and you get a load of points--40,000, to be exact. Enough for a lot of really good things, including an airline flight. And the rewards don't expire--so plan that trip!

In addition to being an all around great card, this one also gives you access to your credit score, which I find really handy. My APR is good, too, at 13.99%. Glad I bothered to fill out the application, which by the way wasn't too difficult.

If you travel a lot, you know that not paying foreign transaction fees is really important. You can get all of the points, etc., in the world and it can be eaten up with one foreign transaction fee. This card doesn't charge any of those fees, and for that reason it is my go to card for travel. Not to mention the other perks like lots of mileage when you spend.

It would be nice if I got a better APR than I did, despite great credit. I got what appears to be almost their highest ast 19.99%. I'm not clear on why and when I called they couldn't adequately explain to me, either. Other than that, pretty good. No annual fee the first year.

I looked high and low for a credit card that gave reward points for travel that doesn't gouge you with fees, like an annual transaction fee. (It does go up to $59 the second year--but that's not too bad). I think the fact that the rewards don't expire is absolutely amazing, and Im glad that I applied and got a card!

If you have excellent credit, this is an excellent credit card. You get 2 miles for every two dollars you spend on the card. If you use the the card all of the time, this means that you'll end up with a lot of miles before you know it. And there is no limit to how many you can earn.

Keep in mind that this card is for people with excellent credit. I wouldn't get a ding on your credit just trying this out unless you have a really good FICO score. Mine is good and I got approved and have the card, but I have a friend who didn't get one, because his credit is a little low. Other than that it's been a great experience having this card.

Excellent card if you travel a lot like I do. You a whopping 2 miles for every dollar you spend on the card, which can really add up. Keep in mind, though, that it's really a traveler's card. If you don't travel much, I wouldn't recommend getting it.Your rewards are greatly cut back when you use them for other than travel related items.

I am thrilled with the whole experience of having a Venture card. From the fact that I don't have to pay an annual fee the first year to the fact that there is a onetime signup bonus of 40,000--which is equivalent to $400! And they credited my account with the money really quickly!

Nice little card for the frequent traveler. Keep in mind that there is an annual fee after the first year of $59, so make sure that you travel enough for this to make sense. I would also suggest taking advantage of the one time bonus at the beginning of having the card that gives you a big 40,000 miles if you spend enough money in the first three months.

I was blown away that there is no transfer fee on this card. How that is possible, I don't know, and I'm not going to ask! I just enjoyed transferring some big balance credit cards to this nice card. The APR is much better on this card for me at 13.99%.

This card is pretty much just for traveling, but the good news is that the points you accumulate don't expire. If you're like me and only travel when you can afford it, which may be every two years or so, that not expiring really means a lot. I have a bunch of miles that have added up I'll be using this coming summer.

If you travel every once in a while or go on a big vacation every few years, this card is great. If you plan on spending more than 8k a year than go for the other venture card. You'll get double points instead of 1.25. Otherwise, this is the best miles card. You get 1.25 miles/dollar on everything. If you are redeeming for travel, prices are in line with other sites like travelocity and orbitz. Definitely don't redeem the miles for cash. You WILL get jipped. 5,000 miles is good ... for $50 towards travel but only $25 in cashback. The customer service is good on most days. There are always those rude or non-cooperative people but it doesn't happen too often. My only gripe with Capital One right now is the credit limit I have with them ($3,000). I have been trying to get it increased for over a year with no luck. The limit has stopped me from making some really big purchases with them. Their loss though. More Less
