Overview

Who is The Hyatt Credit Card Designed For?

The Hyatt Credit Card is designed for people with good to excellent credit who are loyal patrons of Hyatt’s chain of hotels. The card does have a $75 annual fee, but the signup bonus and travel rewards more than justify it. If you’re a frequent traveler and enjoy getting free nights at Hyatt properties, this is the credit card for you.

What are The Hyatt Credit Card’s Rates?

The rates for purchases and balance transfers range from 17.49% APR to 24.49% APR depending on your credit. Cash advances have a rate of 26.49% APR.

What Are the Fees for The Hyatt Credit Card?

The Hyatt Credit Card has a $75 annual fee, which is not waived the first year. There are no foreign transaction fees, but there is a 5% ($5 minimum) balance transfer fee and a 5% ($10 minimum) cash advance fee. Late payments and returned payments incur a fee of up to $37.

What Is The Hyatt Credit Card’s Rewards Program Like?

The Hyatt Credit Card gives you 3 points for every $1 spent on purchases at Hyatt hotels and 2 points for every $1 spent at restaurants, on airline tickets purchased directly with the airline and at car rental agencies. All other purchases earn 1 point for every $1.

The points you earn with The Hyatt Credit Card are redeemable for free nights at over 600 Hyatt hotels and resorts, room upgrades, dining, and spa experiences. You also receive a free night every year you own the card. That alone will cover your annual fee.

Your points also count toward achieving elite status in Hyatt’s program. There are three tiers to Hyatt’s program: Discoverist (25,000 points), Explorist (50,000 points), and Globalist (100,000 points).

What About The Hyatt Credit Card Signup Bonus?

The Hyatt Credit Card gives new cardholders 40,000 bonus points if they spend $2,000 within three months of opening the account. You also receive 5,000 bonus points if you add an authorized user to the account. Notice the signup bonus is only available to new cardmembers who have not received a signup bonus for this card within the last two years.

Does The Hyatt Credit Card Have Any Other Benefits?

The Hyatt Credit Card gives you a wide range of travel and purchase benefits. These include:

- Baggage delay insurance (up to $100 a day for up to five days).

- Lost luggage reimbursement (up to $3,000 per passenger).

- Trip cancellation insurance (up to $5,000 per trip).
