The Cash Rewards American Express® card comes with the standard American Express® travel, security, and travel benefits, such as concierge services, identity theft services, travel accident insurance, extended warranty on purchases and car rental insurance.

It also gives special benefits to the military, such as a rebate of all finance charges while a member is serving in a qualified military campaign and provides practical assistance during and after the deployment.

How Is Cash Rewards American Express® Better Than Other Credit Cards?

The Cash Rewards American Express® offers both a $0 annual fee card and a high rate of cash back rewards, not a common combination. Issued by USAA Savings Bank, the card is restricted to people related to the military, but the requirements are open enough to allow many people to qualify through relatives. The APR rates are low, the benefits are significant and the fees it charges are competitive.

I enjoy the versatility of this card in terms of how you can redeem your points. They can be used for cash, merchandise, gift cards or even travel. That's the right way to dole out rewards! They also give you 2500 bonus points for signing up! Really good card!

This card covers all the bases in terms of being a really good card. You get travel benefits with this card, including accident insurance. They also give you a hefty signup bonus of 2500 points, and you are rewarded for using the card. You get 2x points when spending on gas and groceries--necessities for all of us! And then 1x points for everything else.

I wanted an American Express card, but when I went to apply for one I found that the APR's weren't all that great, so I didn't apply. Then I found this card with USAA and it looked like the answer to me getting an American Exprss card. I have the card and it has a great APR, and then there was the nice signup bonus of 2500 points!

Really pleasantly surprised that despite a little struggle with my credit and a score in the 600s, they gave me this card. It has a pretty low credit limit of $1000, but it's a USAA AmEx Card! I'm sure that it's going to help me build my credit even more. Looking forward to using it and doing just that!

The application process for this card went more smoothly than any other application I've filled out for a credit card. I got approved really quickly and then was happy to see 2500 in bonus points applied to my account after I made my first purchase. All this when my credit score is in the 600s!

Love this card and love USAA! The APR is one of the lowest I have seen--at 9.90%, and there's no annual fee. I earn 2x per dollar spent on gas and groceries, which I buy a lot of! And best of all, there is no cap on that. There's also no expiration or cutoff dates, which is a good thing.
