Just to piggy back on the other negative reviews. I share a similar experience with "funds on hold". I had a couple locations where I used the pump and funds were held for varying amounts. First was $79 and the was the entire balance. i went to one station swiped my card and wasn't given the opportunity to enter my pin. The card was immediately authorised for my entire available balance. I cancelled the transaction went to another station... the beginning of my troubles. After several calls to card, merchant ... and now "Shell" included.. I was told my funds would be held for 30 days. Just to add.. the merchant sent an email indicating that it was my financial institution that reserved my funds. I sent them that information, they still indicated that they needed other proof that the merchant didn't collect their funds. All the while I didn't receive any gas. So 0 gas, $0 dollars, and lost income for 3 days, because I was unable to get gas to go to work. I will be pursuing this legally. If anyone is interested in this petition, please let me know. So I just activated my card. And was asked for the 3 digit security code on the back. Never have I been asked that question when I activated my other cards. Which actually caused me wanting to look up reviews and then I found this. Now what?

I would give a 0 if it let me. Worse company I have ever dealt with. Charge me multiple times during the month before for their "monthly fee" charge crack prices for everything from using ATMs and depositing money, then tonight was the last straw! Try to cash my check as I do every week and all of a sudden my account gets frozen when I have insurance to pay tonight at midnight. Save your money and frustration DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

ZERO STARS!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS PREPAID CARD SERVICE. Theeir customer service reps AND MANAGEMENT are useless. I was not informed that each of my transactions would have a preauthorization charge of $10. So not only was i embarassed when my card was declined for $163 when i had over that amount on my card, I now have to find a way to pay my hotel $30 because CARD.COM has over $30 of mine on hold and will not release it until the merchant has settled the transaction ... although the merchant is showong the transaction as settled on their side. The supervisor informed me it can take up to 30 days for my money to be released and im sure by then they will have taken their monthly charge of $10 oht sp that Im not able to get back my full $30. Ive worked in merchant setvices and this is totall bullshit it doesnt take 30 days for any transaction to settle and they have the ability to release my money, they just chose not to. do not use this company they fucking suckk!!!!!!!!!! To sum it up....PLEASE DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. NOW IF YOU DONT MIND GETTING YOUR CARD HACKED AND NOT GETTING YOUR FUNDS BACK ALONG WITH THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE LOW SECURITY ON THESE DESIGNED CARDS THAT MAKES IT EASY FOR FRAUDSTERS TO STEAL YOUR MONEY...THE CONSTANT RUN AROUND WITH THIS COMPANY STRESS AND DEPRESSION THEN GO AHEAD. HOWEVER PLEASE GO WITH A REGULAR BANK CREDIT UNION OR A WAL-MART DEBIT CARD PLEASE. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD AND WILL NOT HELP YOU WHEN PROBLEMS ARISES AND IT ... WILL HAPPEN. I had my refund sent two days ago and nothing is there. I've been with them for a couple years and they've been pretty good. Now this year no one knows anything. Just like others they told me to check at 12 the next day and i still didn't receive anything. Today is the 3rd the IRS sent it on the first. I pray my money is there, need it for my heart medication and other bills. I hope Shantel got herd

I have never in all the years that I have dealt with prepaid card companies have I ever had such a HORRIBLE time. The IRS deposited my refund to this card 2 days ago and they still don't show it. ALL THEY SAY IS CONTACT THE IRS. Well that was done and it was sent all information is correct. I was told that if it does not post at 12 noon est then I will have to wait until 12 noon the next day. The ... IRS deposited funds as of 2/28 today is 3/2 and still no money. Customer service is rude and not helpful at all. They are scripted and this is the worst service I have ever had from any company that I have choosen to do any form of banking from. I HATE THAT I EVER USED THEIR SERVICE. I HATE CARD.COM as soon as my deposited is posted. I will be closing my card and ending all ties and I plan on making sure people of well aware of their inept handing of their customers. More Less

Cards.com is thee worst... They blocked my card with all of my money on it bcuz they said my info wasn't correct what a scam..customer servicev is rude and very unprofessional i sent the documents they required and they still wont unblock my card im having a bad asthma attack and need my money to purchase medicine this is a nightmare.... I WOULD SAY TO ANYONE WHHJO WANTS A PREPAID CARD DONT USE CARDS.COM THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST!

They should get zero stars, there horrible. Heaven forbid you need to change your name, because it will never happen. Good luck trying to get your Tax Refund, they'll just send it back and not recognize that they ok'd the name change in an email, they even sent a new card with the new name, but they still don't recognize the change, even though you gave them a copy of your ID, Social Security Card and Marriage License. They're horrible, their Call Center people act like robots and they spout off the ... same line over and over again. And they truly don't want to help you. They prefer you suffer endlessly. Save yourself the pain and suffering, go with another card. More Less

This is the worst company ever i accidentally entered wrong pin 1 time my card was locked and they made me wait 7 days for a check to come in mail my 18 month old grand child ended up in the hospital due to me being unable to pay electric on time and he is handicapped i will never use card again

Less than zero customer service. I filed a dispute over a double charge from an obvious Internet scam. They blocked the card so I have no access to any money in the account. 45 to 90 days to resolve the dispute. When I asked for a supervisor I was hung up on. Twice. Do not fall for the cutesy card designs. Total rip off.

So far the worst thing I could have ever did, they are a scam took my money waited almost a month to here I couldn't get my money back. Because of card.com I've lost everything. They want let you talk to a supervisor because they don't have one this is a scam. Someone who lives 24hours away from me done hacked into there account and took thousands of dollars then they want replace your money .... terrible situation warning everyone before it happen to you.... inside job they get 0 ... stars More Less

I've had a card with them for 8 months. It was OK, and they had many great designs to choose from. However, I was not at all happy with support. They never responded to the several emails I sent to fix a simple issue. I am switching to a different prepaid card that offers a lot more.

I wish I would have done more research before ordering one of these cards and having my paycheck direct deposited. I have been waiting three weeks and no card and have two direct deposits loaded in it already. Customer service is rude and very unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend this card to anyone!!!
