Really mad that after having no claims for a good 7 years that the second I have a very small claim for damage to my property that I am being charged higher rates. You would think that they would want to keep good customers who rarely need them and pay them.

I had a claim paid out for everything that was damaged in my apartment during a fire just recently, and it was done quickly. I'm now waiting for my next bill, though, to see if that convenience is going to cost me big in insurance premiums. I hope not, but will have to wait and see.

The Hartford is a top notch company, and their renters insurance is no different. I had a claim about a year ago and it was handled in an efficient manner by a very friendly customer service rep and insurance specialist. What a relief to have something go right when you've had a loss.

Quick and friendly service whenever I call to ask a question and to adjust a rate. I have a friend who just had a loss in her apartment and she has gotten her insurance money quickly. So I see that as a good sign that they will be there when I need them.

Good experience with the Hartford in terms of having my claim for damage to my property after a fire in the condo I rent, but I was a little peeved that my rates went up by 10 percent afterwards. This is my first claim, so I don't feel that is right.
