Welcome to SuperMoney. We’re committed to helping people make confident financial decisions — and that starts with protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how SuperMoney, LLC (“SuperMoney,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our Services, including through our website (www.supermoney.com), mobile application (the “SuperMoney App”), and related tools, content, and platforms (collectively, the “Site” or “Services”).
This Privacy Policy applies whether you use our Services as a guest, registered user, or mobile app user, and whether you’re comparing financial products, reading reviews, or requesting personalized offers. Some services may involve the collection and sharing of your information with our partners to help fulfill your requests — we describe those practices in more detail below.
By using the Services, you consent to the privacy practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and governed by our Terms of Use. Any capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms.
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, and other states with enhanced privacy rights: Please review the “Your Rights by Jurisdiction” section below for important disclosures about your rights under applicable law, including your right to opt out of certain types of data sharing.
What Information We Collect
We collect information about you from various sources, including information you provide directly, information collected automatically through your use of our Services, and information obtained from third parties. This helps us operate, improve, and personalize the Services, support compliance and security, and provide relevant financial product recommendations.
1. Information You Provide
You may provide us with information when you:
- Register for a SuperMoney account
- Complete forms or request quotes or offers
- Submit reviews or user-generated content
- Interact with our chatbot or customer service
- Participate in surveys, promotions, or research
- Connect your financial accounts via third-party services (e.g., Plaid)
This may include:
- Personal Identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, date of birth, and demographic details.
- Financial Information, such as income, employment, bank account numbers, and loan history, especially when requesting quotes or offers.
- Government Identifiers, such as your Social Security Number or ID for identity verification, when applicable.
- Communications you send to us, including chat, SMS, or email content.
- User Content such as reviews, profile submissions, or feedback (including associated metadata such as timestamps or location data if provided).
- Purchase and Transaction Information, including any payments made through or tracked by the SuperMoney platform. If you access subscription features through our mobile app, we may collect and process purchase-related data (such as transaction receipts or in-app subscription status) to verify purchases, enable premium access, support account management, or analyze app usage. Depending on how your account is configured, this data may or may not be linked to your identity. We do not use in-app purchase data for advertising or cross-app behavioral tracking unless explicitly disclosed and separately authorized. Third-party services may assist with purchase validation or subscription management. These providers are contractually required to use your data solely to support the intended functionality and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- Account Verification Materials, such as uploaded documents or selfies used for KYC purposes.
With your permission, we may access device clipboard data (e.g., for paste/autofill functions) or device contacts (e.g., for invite/referral functionality).
2. Information Collected Automatically
When you use our website or mobile app, we automatically collect information to support functionality, performance, personalization, security, and analytics. This includes:
- Device and Technical Information: browser type, device type, IP address, screen resolution, language preferences, operating system, and device settings.
- Usage Data: clicks, pages viewed, time spent, referral URLs, navigation flows, error logs, and user interaction behavior.
- Location Information: approximate geolocation derived from IP address or device signals (GPS, WiFi, or cell towers, if permitted).
- App Data (if using the SuperMoney App): crash logs, diagnostic data, ad identifiers (e.g., IDFA, GAID), in-app behavior, and analytics events.
We may also capture keystroke behavior, scroll depth, or interaction recordings through session replay tools to understand and improve the user experience.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and other similar technologies to:
- Remember your preferences
- Enable login/session management
- Provide personalized offers and ads
- Track usage trends and traffic sources
- Analyze marketing campaign performance
Some session replay tools may record keystroke and scroll behavior to improve UX — this data is not used to identify users or track behavior outside the platform.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser or device settings. Please note that disabling some cookies may limit functionality.
4. Information from Third-Party Sources
We may receive information about you from third parties to support identity verification, personalization, fraud prevention, or to fulfill your requests. These third parties may include:
- Financial Aggregators: If you link your bank or financial accounts to our platform (or a partner platform), we may receive account details such as balances, transactions, account type, and ownership data through third-party data aggregators (e.g., Plaid, MX, Finicity, Yodlee, or Akoya). These providers collect your credentials or tokenized access information to retrieve account balances, transaction data, loan details, and other relevant information. Some providers may require you to accept their own privacy policy or end user agreement before linking your account. We encourage you to review those terms before proceeding.
- Orchestration Platforms: In some cases, this connection is facilitated through an orchestration layer (e.g., MoneyKit) that connects to aggregators or financial institutions on our behalf or at your direction.
- Authentication Credentials: To connect your accounts, you may be required to provide login credentials, multi-factor authentication codes, or other access information directly to the aggregation service. SuperMoney does not receive or store your credentials.
- Identity Verification Providers: We may receive data from vendors who verify your identity using public records, government databases, or biometric/facial recognition tools.
- Ad and Attribution Partners: These partners may provide hashed identifiers, device signals, and campaign interaction data to help us measure engagement and deliver personalized ads.
- Social Networks: If you connect through or interact with a social platform, we may receive associated data in accordance with your permissions.
- Corporate Affiliates and Public Sources: We may also obtain information from affiliated entities, marketing partners, or public databases to supplement our records or improve our Services.
We may also collect information about you if you are referenced in reviews, feedback, or support communications submitted by other users. We may also receive information about you from service providers, partners, or from publicly available sources.
5. Inferences and Automated Decision-Making
We may infer information about you (e.g., income range, credit eligibility signals, financial goals, or preferred products) based on:
- Your interactions with the Services
- Partner feedback or quote results
- Third-party data signals
We may use machine learning models to generate these inferences or to recommend products. These tools are monitored for fairness and accuracy and are not used to make final credit decisions.
6. Cross-Device and Cross-Session Tracking
To deliver a seamless experience and detect fraud, we may associate your activity across different browsers or devices using device IDs, cookies, hashed identifiers, or login credentials.
7. Metadata
Any files or content you upload to our Services (e.g., reviews, documents) may include metadata (e.g., file creation dates, geotags) which may be collected to support compliance, customer service, or technical support.

How We Share Your Information
We may share your personal information in the following circumstances:
1. Marketplace Partners
When you request a quote, product offer, or service through SuperMoney, we may share the information you provide with the financial institutions, providers, or professionals relevant to your inquiry (“Marketplace Partners”). This includes lenders, credit card issuers, insurance providers, financial advisors, and other service providers that offer relevant financial products or services.
By submitting a request, you consent to SuperMoney disclosing your information to these Marketplace Partners for the purposes of fulfilling your request, providing prequalified offers, or contacting you with additional options. In some cases, if you click to go to a Marketplace Partner’s site, you will automatically be sending your personal information to that provider.
Please note that these third parties may retain or use your data whether or not you engage their services. Their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies.

These service providers are contractually required to protect your data and only use it for the specific services they provide to SuperMoney. Where permitted, certain account-linking activities may involve multiple intermediaries. For example, a linked account may be initiated through a partner experience and routed through orchestration platforms (e.g., MoneyKit) that connect to underlying data aggregators (e.g., Plaid, MX). These providers access your data solely to support the requested functionality and are prohibited from using it for unrelated purposes.
4. Marketing Partners
We may share your personal information with third-party marketing partners who help us conduct joint campaigns, embed SuperMoney tools on their websites, or promote our services. If you interact with a SuperMoney quote widget or link on a partner’s site, your information may be shared with both that partner and SuperMoney to fulfill your request.

If you choose to engage in public activities on SuperMoney, please be aware:

You may request removal of public content by contacting us at support@supermoney.com, but removal may not extend to third-party caches or archives, and we cannot guarantee full deletion if others have copied or retained your content.
10. With Your Consent
In any situation not covered above, we will share your personal information only with your consent or at your explicit direction.
Advertising, Analytics & Cookies

These third parties may set and access their own cookies or similar technologies on your device. They may also use hashed identifiers or cookie-matching techniques to link your activity on SuperMoney with activity on other websites or apps.

2. AI Chat Communication Preferences
Our chat tools may be operated by SuperMoney or by trusted third-party vendors, and chat interactions may be logged to improve service quality and functionality. Refer to your mobile device settings for permission management. You may also stop a mobile app’s collection of location information by following the standard uninstall process to remove the app from your device.
5. Cookies & Ad Tracking
We honor opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law. These signals allow you to communicate your opt-out preferences via browser or device settings.
You can adjust browser settings to refuse or delete cookies. You may also limit ad tracking through device settings (e.g., “Limit Ad Tracking” on iOS or “Opt Out of Ads Personalization” on Android).
6. Third-Party Ad Platforms
We may work with platforms like Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), or TikTok to run tailored ads. These platforms may match your email or phone number with your user profile to serve ads based on your preferences. You can control ad personalization directly through those platforms’ settings.
