  • Loan / Lease / GAP Coverage: GAP coverage covers the difference between what you owe on your vehicle and its current cash value in the event of a total loss.

How does Freeway Insurance calculate insurance rates?

Car insurance companies guard their risk-assessment algorithms as a trade secret, and Freeway Insurance is no exception. However, you can be confident that Freeway auto insurance will take into consideration your driving record, age, gender, marital status, and address.
Other factors it will take into consideration are your vehicle (make and model), insurance history, and how you use your car.

Does Freeway auto insurance use your credit score?

It is safe to assume that, when legal, a car insurance company will use your credit score as a rating factor. There are two exceptions.
  1. If you live in California, Hawaii, or Massachusetts, a car insurance company is not allowed to use your credit report as a rating factor.
  2. There are also a handful of car insurance companies that base their insurance rates exclusively on telematic data. These companies collect information on your driving behavior and use it to determine the risk you pose as a driver.

How can I get a Freeway auto insurance insurance quote?

  • Visit the Freeway Insurance website.
  • Fill out the insurance online quote application form. You will typically need to provide personal information, such as your name, vehicle, driver's license, and address.

Message from Freeway auto insurance

Every driver has one thing in common: they’d like to pay less for their car insurance. The best way to find savings is by comparing auto insurance rates from multiple carriers. But that can get overwhelming fast, especially if you have a less than perfect record. That’s where Freeway comes in. We are here to help you get the affordable car insurance quotes you need. So, if you’re looking for cheap car insurance, you’re in the right place! Plus, we do all the legwork so you can sit back and enjoy those monthly savings. A car insurance policy is a contract between the policyholder, usually the car’s main driver, and the insurance provider. The insurer agrees to protect the policyholder against financial losses outlined within the policy (this is an important note because if it’s not in the contract, insurance companies will not cover it). As a policyholder, you are concerned with your premiums, coverages, exclusions, and payouts. The premiums are what you pay to keep the policy. Coverages are those conditions outlined explicitly in the policy, where your insurance company will payout. Exclusions are special cases that will nullify your policy, such as driving while intoxicated, preventing you from receiving payouts. And the payout is the amount up to which an insurance provider will make you whole. The policy is usually set for a term of 6 or 12 months, where the insured pays monthly premiums to keep it enforced. If the insured stops paying premiums, the insurance provider will stop coverage immediately. If the uninsured driver causes an accident while driving, then they are personally on the hook for the costs of damages.

Although insurance requirements are set at the state level — and therefore different in each one — in practice, if you are driving a vehicle, there is little difference; you need to have car insurance. It is best to refer to your state’s department of insurance to determine mandatory requirements. You can use the National Association of Insurance Commissioners website to locate your state’s official insurance department. You can’t go wrong with getting full coverage auto insurance, as this will almost always be modeled to cover your state’s mandatory requirements. The minimum car insurance required is typically liability insurance, including property and bodily injury liability coverage. This means your insurance provider will be able to pay for injuries and damages that you cause to other people and property but not you. Auto insurance can cover a wide range of situations with many optional coverages for particular circumstances. Learn more about the types of car insurance coverages that are available. The typical driver will have the following liability coverages simply because they are mandatory in most states. Considering the destructive potential of car accidents, it’s easy to see why liability insurance is mandatory. Mandatory requirements mainly only cover injuries and property damages sustained by others, not the policyholder. The Law says that all drivers are liable for the damages they cause to anyone and anything around them. Driving is a privilege that makes the driver accountable. Because it is minimally required and the premiums may be less, it is tempting to only insure for property and bodily injury liability coverage and not protect yourself with comprehensive and collision coverage. However, seriously consider your circumstance if you were in an accident and your car was totaled. Would you have enough financial savings to cover your own injuries and damages and purchase a new car? Do you have primary medical insurance? Will you have to stop working? Knowing the answers to these few questions will go a long way in bringing perspective to how vital car insurance coverage is.

Free Way Auto Insurance has liability coverage of both bodily injury and property damage liability. With this investment, I got comprehensive and collision coverage, there are other optional elements amongst Gap insurance, Rental car reimbursement, uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage and medical payments coverage. I invested in the medical payment which is great.

Please do not get involve with this insurance. They are worst than scammers. Right now i have 2 policies open. The agents well quote you a very cheap rate then triple premium because they intentionally enter incorrect credit card number so payment is denied and they can increase premium because your payment didn't go thru. then then agent never answers your call or even the supervisor. Classic bait and switch. Quote me one price. Then double it in person. When I reluctantly went with their policy. I was $14.00 short. Kila then said I could pay him back. I thought that was kind. Yesterday he called to remind that I owed him still. So i said I'll try to make it over to pay him. I unfortunately was unable to make it there. So today ...Show More

My Agent sucked. The discounts were taken from my new Policy after I purchased it., The Agent did not send proper paper work, The cancellation of the policy which she had me send to her office via email, Dated 12/29/17(and this should be backdated for cancellation, I have already gotten a bill from my previous company for 243.00 which I will not pay.) She never canceled the policy as promised. This person ...Show More

I've dealt with insurance companies that are a total scam before, but these guys aren't like them. I know there are bad reviews about them, but if you go into a local office the people are really nice and they will do whatever they can to work with you.

Don't even bother trying to call these guys! They don't ever give you the same information. I called them for a quote and was told one thing. I was shopping around and said I would call them back. When I did, I got a totally different quote - did my driving record get worse in the last 5 minutes?

This is my first time getting insurance on my own. They were really nice and I think they did what they could to get me a good rate. They also worked with me on the payment amounts so that it was something I could afford.

Disappointed in what a hassle signing up for their coverage ended up being. First, I got an online quote and decided to go with them. When I called the number, I was told that rate was only for certain people - and apparenty I wasn't one of them. After spending more than an hour on the phone with them to avoid having to go to their office, I still ended ...Show More

I had been trying to get coverage by calling them on the phone and not getting the help I needed from their reps. I happened to be driving down a busy street the other day and came across one of their offices so I decided to stop in. Everyone there was wonderful. It seems like a big part of their problem is with their call center.

I needed an SR-22 on my policy from a DUI, and eventhough my record wasn't perfect (the DUI for starters) their rates were fairly reasonable. They can also set you up on a monthly payment plan, but if you can pay your premium up front, do it. It will save you money in the end.

This company is a total SCAM! I honestly don't know how they are still in business. I went into their office to cancel my policy because of the rediculous fees, and they tried to lower things for me. Told me that the new figure was the absolute lowest they could go. When I walked out a different rep chased me out to my truck and suddenly could go lower. I ...Show More

These guys are the worst! They give you a quote over the phone and then charge your account a completely different amount. And almost $200 in fees just to set up an account to CHARGE me for insurance? You've got to be kidding me!

My parents originally had my car insurance through Freeway and then once I was older I decided to stick with them because there were never any issues with it. I still haven't had any problems with the insurance company but their main selling point for me is how helpful and friendly my local agent is! I'll definitely be sticking with them and probably my kids too! When I decided to switch ...Show More

The worst experience I have ever had with car insurance! I called and got a quote of $30/month for car insurance from them so I decided to sign up. After I go through hours of paperwork and more questions, they tell me they need the $200.00 up front so I paid them thinking my policy was taken care of for the next 6 months. Much to my surprise, I get ...Show More
