As far as online brokers go, this is one of the best. I actually heard about them when I was reading Kiplingers and they put them at the top. They have multiple investment options and all of the necessary tools for investing, including android or iphone apps that allow you to access a great, easy-to-use mobile platform.
Firstrade is a little higher cost-wise than some of the big traders, but it isn't all that much higher considering all of the great perks you get when you sign up with them. These include excellent research and superior tools that make it so easy to make good investment choices.
This place has just about anything you'd want for investing--from stock trading, to exchange traded funds to bonds and mutual funds. It's a great financial smorgasbord for me, and I enjoy going through the options and planning my next investment move.
I like a variety of investment options when I'm working on building my portfolio, and Firstrade offers a variety. I also like how they have an investment center that has a lot of research to help guide you along the investment path that's right for you.
A friend referred me and got the $50 rebate for doing so. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do much of anything, except for open an IRA, but I soon found myself interested when I checked out the website and looked into mutual funds. I'm trying some out now with mixed results.
Everytime I check my account and go online I check their promotions, because they often have some good ones that will save you money on investing. They even have sweepstakes sometimes. I haven't won, but I try! Making trades is fairly easy and quick, as well.
I really like all of the investment options that this place offers, and I like the fact that you can access your accounts from their super cool and easy to use mobile app. What I'm not all that excited about is the fact that their customer service hours are limited, because they're eastern time and only Monday through Friday. I'm on the westcoast and busy working during those times!
Excellent online broker! Online trading fees are just $6.95. That is really awesome when you consider that some big brokerage houses are charging double and triple that. I also like their online trading dashboard which I find to be simple and well organized.
Now that I'm retired, making good decisions regarding my money and investing is so important. I decided to try out Firstrade, and I'm glad I did. Their research and tools are excellent and I can get help when I want it from a cadre of excellent customer service reps.
Really like the online trading dashboard and how it's organized into two columns and so simple to access and review. You can also drag and drop necessary info and view multiiple accounts at once. Great for multi-taskers like me!
If you want to access investments and do some investing from your smartphone this place has great apps for doing so. And they give them to you for free for Android or iPhone! You can use the apps to see your dashboard, monitor the latest news and make trades. Premo!
I'm on my smarthphone all the time and constantly away from home so I really like being able to use the smart phone apps by Firstrade. Now I don't have to try to look into my investments and new ones when I'm home and totally wiped out.
Great online brokerage site. Pricing is reasonable and if you play your cards right and make the right choices you can come out ahead in terms of fees. There are options for no fees--for instance load mutual funds don't cost anything. I am also able to navigate the website easily.
I've found that the prices at this brokerage house are very competitive. I also love their extended trading hours function that allows you to make your trades before the market opens. This works well for me, as I have to report to work very early in the morning.
Their web-based platform is easy to navigate and understand, and their mobile app is extremely functional. I like that it has a customizable user interface, and with diverse tools and educational options for me to learn from.
This place is really robust--with all of the investment options they have available. They also have a lot of ongoing deals that can cut the cost of trading--for instance, open and IRA and get some free trades. I suggest checking in often, which is easy to do with their great mobile app.
I decided to start investing, because it's something I've been wanting to do for a long time. My boyfriend suggested I use Firstrade, because he does. Well, he is very busy and hasn't had time to show me what to do. The customer service is closed when I'm off on the weekend and have time for this, so I have been a little stymied by the whole thing.
Real treasure trove of investment options. You will find Mutual Funds, ETF's, bonds, CDs, and of course, IRAs. I started out with IRAs, but have moved on to some other investments. I'm particularly liking the ETF's that you have access to here.Glad I find them.
I initially tried to call and get help with this company but then saw that they have an education center on the website with multiple tools for helping you to better understand investing and then make the right choice for you. As a matter of fact, the tools on the site are so helpful that I would recommend them to everyone.
Retirement planning and investing are not on the top of my list for fun things to do, but I knew I had to get started, so I got started at Firstrade. My first order of business was an IRA, which they helped me negotiate with no problems. Now I am onto mutual funds, and I'm actually finding it pretty exciting!
Feel like I'm in an investment candy store each time I sign on to my Firstrade account. So exciting to see all of the options. Although sometimes it is a little overwhelming. Do I get mutual funds? ETF? Bonds? CDs? Fortunately I usually figure it out pretty quickly, and when I don't I can always call for help and advice.
If you want to start trading and need a little help, this place is so-so in that department. You can only call during regular eastern standard time business hours, so that might not work for your schedule. If, however, you already pretty much know what you're doing, then this place works out great. They have tons of investment options.
I found out several years ago when I started investing that it is an acquired taste. At first you might be a bit confused and might rather be doing something else, but then you start to get the hang of it and realize the power of the whole process. I'm loving it now that I've found Firstrade and am having a lot of success!
Really like their extended trading hours, which I use all of the time. They allow you to place trades before or after closing. This is so important for me, because my work schedule is such that I'm usually booked solid during normal trading hours.
