My mom used this before switching us to GoHenry. I personally like GoHenry more, but Green light can get the job done too. We had a few glitches with it however, when we wouldn't spend money on it for a while.

Greenlight isn't a bad option by any means, but I would never recommend it to family or friends because it doesn't seem as cost effective compared to other options. It charges a small fee to use (not all checking accounts for minors do this) and does make it easy to transfer and monitor allowances. This debit card is really great for teens who are just starting out. The only con is the monthly fee. It’s also great for younger kids who have allowance, babysitting money, etc. because carrying cash around isn’t that common anymore so having a card that your parents control is super ideal.

It's an okay bank if you are willing to pay ten dollars a month. Other service fees they have are low but there are plenty of other banks that do not charge a monthly fee.

Greenlight offers an option for a checking account and bank card parents can reload for their kiddos and I find that amazing. I'm in the process of getting an account set up with them, however the fee is $9.95/mo and that is really my only complaint. Other than that, a card that mom and dad can control and use to put kid's allowance on, etc....whod've thunk?!
