State Farm changed my policy and raised my rates on one property and put rental insurance on another without my knowledge . When i called to inquire they actually laughed at me. Steer clear of this company.

I rented my house to someone that brought in several cats and 2 dogs. It took a while to get them evicted and when I did I found out they had done $40,000 in damages. State Farm told me they would give me $3.000 because they don't cover pet damage. Still ongoing problem with this company.

Everytime i had a claim with State Farm they took care of the problem . Replaced my roof after hail storm. I also had a fire in my kitchen. I have nothing but good experiences with them. I recommend them to anyone that needs homeowners insurance.

Every time I have made a claim with State Farm I have been denied. They always are able to come up with a reason that is totally rediculous. I don't know why I have insurance at all. It is like I don't anyway.

State Farm raised my rate $900 with no notification at all. No email, phone call or letter. I found out because I needed to make a claim. They told me they didn't know why and that was it. I am seeking legal help.

I will not switch from State Farm just because of how amazing my insurance agents are. I've had some bad insurance agents in the past, and when I moved, I decided it was time for a clean slate. State Farm covers only my home insurance at the moment, but I am thinking about switching over my auto insurance to them. The insurance agents have been nothing but insanely helpful every time I need them. If you can get a great agent, go with State Farm!

If you want crappy insurance and bad customer service, go ahead and look right over State Farm. You will not get any of that here. They are amazing with their customers and handle every inquiry in a prompt manner. I have my homeowners policy through a local agent, and the entire team at the office is great. They obviously took the time to make sure everyone working there knew how to deal with customers. So, if you want great customer service and great coverage, State Farm is the way to ... go. I'm not sure why State Farm is so expensive when it comes to insurance. I've had many insurance companies before that offer the same amount of coverage and protection for much lower prices. I'm going to assume that all of that extra money is put towards advertisements and commercials. At the present time I am looking for another provider for my homeowners insurance. I've gotten so many quotes that are more reasonable than State Farm.

I know a lot of people complain about how expensive State Farm's homeowners insurance can be. I get it, money is tight and times are tough. But they are a solid insurance company from everything I've experienced. I feel like you pay for what you get, and so far, State Farm has been great. They provide great customer service when you need it, and they really value their customers. I've never had an issue, even though I've had to file two claims.

Lucky for us, we have been grandfathered into our rates with State Farm. My wife is employed with another insurance provider, but for our homeowners, State Farm still had the best rates. This was even before we were grandfathered in, and even including her insurance companies discounts. We're so pleased with the service we've gotten from State Farm, and would never think about switching to another insurance company.

I know State Farm is a bit on the pricey side, but I am a loyal customer. They started me out with a lower rate than other companies but my premium has since gone up dramatically. I feel that I get better service from State Farm than I would with any other company, so that's why I stay. It is not so high that I can't afford it, so it's okay for now. Their coverage is the best and I value that more than how much I pay for the ... premium. More Less

We have been with State Farm for almost 20 yrs. We have never had a claim and yet we just got our renewal notice with a 25 % increase. I called and they said it was a state increase. I have tried to find information to verify this state increase and so far have found none. Hmmmmmmm?

State Farm offers decent coverage, but they continue to increase their rates. I have homeowners insurance through them, with no claims, but my premium keeps going up. I'm a single mom of two teens, and college needs to be paid for somehow. I can't continue to pay the rate increases with State Farm and afford two college tuitions, so it's obvious that I need to look around. It's a shame, since I haven't had any other issues with them.

State Farm is going to cancel me for having too many claims in the last 20+ years I have had them. My claims are less then my premiums, plus I have car insurance with them too and I always paid on time. They are basically telling me none of that matters and severing ties with me.

In 20 years with State Farm I have had several claims . I have had the same agent and he is amazing. I have always been taken care of in a timely and professional way and would recommend them to anyone.

I really do like State Farm as a homeowners insurance provider. They have a great claims department that solves everything in a timely manner, and an excellent customer service department. My only complaint is that my premium is just too expensive. They don't offer too many discounts, or at least, I'm not eligible for any. I hate to shop around, but I may need to. I'd recommend them for their claim handling and customer service, though.

I am extremely happy with my State Farm insurance. They provide coverage for my home, and have been doing a great job for many years. I'm the kind of person that sticks with a company through thick and thin, and State Farm is no different. My premium has been raised several times, but I still feel they offer me what other insurance companies can not. They have great coverage, and have resolved every claim I've thrown at them without any hassle to me or my family. As always, I'd recommend ... them to anything in need of insurance. More Less

I know I know I know, State Farm is expensive. But after 8 years with them, I can argue that you get when you pay for. State Farm obviously puts that money into their amazing agents. I've moved and have worked with two agents, and both have been extraordinary. Both offices provide an excellent level of service that is not usually seen by insurance companies. I have homeowners insurance through them and have recently added two vehicles, and the transition was seamless.

State Farm offers the most personalized service that I've ever found. I've had three other companies for homeowners insurance, and by far, State Farm offers the best in terms of customer service. My insurance agent is amazing, and she's always there when I need her. If only they could offer me more discounts, then they'd be the best all around insurance provider I'd ever come across. The agents are great and they offer great service.

State Farm is the first insurance company I've ever had that provides its customers with personal attention. Before I had another company that made it a pain just to get through to an actual human being. But State Farm's agents are there, ready and willing to speak with you. So far I don't think State Farm is too expensive, even though I've heard they can be. I guess I'll have to see when I renew in a few months. But up until this point they've been awesome.

I paid State Farm hundreds a month for my home insurance. They suggested to me a riders policy because of my backup sewer drain. My house flooded and when I went to make a claim and they told me it was due to a frozen pipe and they were not going to cover me. They sold me useless insurance. And they are ok with it!

Our local State Farm agent is fantastic. His entire team, from the other agents to the receptionist, treat you with the utmost professionalism and respect. I've never hesitated to ask a question, and they are always available. My calls and emails have always been responded to almost immediately. I've never experienced such amazing customer service with an insurance company. I'd recommend anyone to State Farm for their homeowners or other insurance, strictly on how well they treat their customers.

When insurance companies decide to up up up your rate, it's time to look elsewhere. Shame, I really like State Farm. The started out low but steadily increased over the years. I have never filed a claim so I feel I should not be paying such a high premium. If only they realized that customers can't afford such high payments, and that they deserve better rates when they don't file claims. When they realize that, I'll come back to them.

Apparently being a long time customer holds no value to the people of State Farm. We've had our homeowners insurance through them for almost fifteen years now, and have only filed one claim. About two years ago, a storm hit and significant damage was done to our roof. We were under the impression that since weather/natural disasters were covered under our policy, there'd be no problem. We were wrong. Our premium has steadily increased for the past two years. So much for being a valued customer.

I have never had some a great experience with an insurance agent. I'm more used to them sucking the life out of you to get every penny you've got, and then not wanted to pay out for your claims. State Farms agents are different. When I switched companies I got an amazing agent who helps me with everything. She searched for the best policy for my needs and my budget. They are great. State Farm is an amazing insurance provider.

State Farm are a bunch of liars and cheats. My family has had them for homeowners insurance for ten years, and only recently, we ran into problems with them. We've filed two claims, both about three years ago. We spoke with claims representatives, provided the necessary documents, pictures of the damage, etc. without any issues. We go to renew our policy for the new year, and we are denied on the grounds that we provided insufficient evident for the claims three years ago. THREE YEARS AGO. Why didn't they bring ... this up then? Not three years later when we're going to renew. Liars, cheats. They are dishonest crooks. More Less

I have State Farm for my homeowners insurance. I've had them for 10 or so years. My mother recently moved in with my family and I am responsible for all of her expenses. I've had to go from a full time job to a part time job, so I can be there and care for here. Since I've cut back financially, I've realized just how expensive my State Farm insurance has gotten. It wasn't apparent before, but now it's just too much. I am going to start looking around because ... we just cannot afford it anymore. More Less

State Farm is a decent company until you have to file a claim. We've had them for such a long time without any issues. We were like the poster customers and they were the poster insurance company. But, then there's the dark side. We had to fight them tooth and nail to get them to pay out for damages to our roof after a storm. Having an insurance company cover the costs of damages should not be that hard. I mean, you are paying them every month to cover you, ... so they should cover you. More Less

I've had State Farm since I bought my first car 25 years ago. I've also been with the same agent! I think the fact that State Farm's agents have longevity and not a high turnover rate shows that State Farm is a solid company. People actually want to work for them. My agent is the best buy in the world, I don't know what I'd do without him. Maybe it's because I've been with him for so long, but he handles everything for me. It's great not having to stress ... over your insurance. More Less
