Edelman Financial charges an annual management fee that starts at 0.5% and ranges up to 1.75%.

This investment group touted they had ability to make sounds financial growth decisions but it only seems to applies in a bull market. Where anyone with some common market knowledge could make money. They don't have clue how to retain or show a sound marginal investment return during a fluctuating market. I would not recommend Edelman at all. They seem to have an old school mentality that you must fit into the 60% stock/40% bond club. They use a profile "recipe" to come up with their standard porfilios. This not only is wrong, but completely against my wishes. For the last several years, I have told my advisor to reduce my bond holdings to less than 10%, and he only reduced ...Show More

Bad experience for one year! They don't do any better, even worse than other index funds and their fee is outrageous! I was stupid and did not do any of my home work until now because of market fluctuation. With half a brain functioning, anyone can do better and avoid the many 1k's they collect every year.

I totally agree with Dan J. who reviewed Edelman Financial before me. I gave Edelman a ton on money representing the majority of my savings. I told them that I wanted to be conservative; however, their conservative portfolio consists of a lot of bond funds. I thought bonds would appreciate perhaps not as fast at stocks, but that there was less risk. A shout out to Edelman..... No One Recommends ...Show More

They do a little up front to get you interesting in how they will help you, then they forget you and keep collecting their fee. 15 years with an IRA and the value was unchanged, so I moved the money to another firm and the Edelman response was a bill for their services.
