ONE AMERICAN BANK was founded 137 years ago, in 1883, six years before South Dakota was granted statehood. Originally known as the Bank of Centerville, our bank was chartered by early settlers looking to place their life’s financial holdings in a safe institution. Through the Great Depression, the Dirty 30’s, World War II, and the Ag Crisis of the 1980’s; this bank maintained a sound and secure financial condition and to this day is an extremely well capitalized bank. In 2011, we became ONE AMERICAN BANK when the Lund Family acquired the shares of the bank. The Lund’s were innovative business leaders who brought over 40 years of experience in banking services. With a strong management team in place and dedicated staff, we continue to proudly serve customers both locally and nationally.
