Milestone Gold Mastercard is part of Milestone’s credit card program: a trademark of Genesis Bankcard Services. Genesis Bankcard Services has been in business since 2004 and has an A+ rating with the BBB. The Milestone Gold Mastercard is issued by Mid America Bank & Trust Company, an FDIC-insured bank that was founded in 1920.

Who is the Milestone Gold Mastercard Designed For?

Milestone Gold Mastercard is designed for people with poor credit who want to rebuild their credit and the convenience of a credit card with reasonable (for poor credit) rates. The card allows potential cardholders to pre-qualify without a hard pull on their credit, which means there is no impact to your credit score if you are denied.

What are Milestone Gold Mastercard’s Rates?

Milestone Gold Mastercard has a 23.9% APR. Cash advances have a 29.9% APR. Cardholders who make a late payment are hit with a 29.9% APR penalty rate.  Milestone does offer a 25-day grace period during which no interest is charged.

What Are the Fees For Milestone Gold Mastercard?

The first year Milestone Gold Mastercard charges a $35 to $75 annual fee depending on your credit profile. After that, the annual fee is $99. There is also a $25 fee for every authorized user added to the account.

During the first year, there is no cash advance fee. After the first 12 months, there is either a $5 or 5% cash advance fee, whichever is greater (up to a maximum of $100), on every transaction. Foreign purchases come with a 1% fee.

Late payments and returned payments have a $38 penalty fee, and cardholders who exceed their limit must pay a $38 fee.

What Is Milestone Gold Mastercard Rewards Program Like?

Milestone Gold Mastercard does not provide a points or miles rewards program. Its main advantage is that it reports to all three credit bureaus and can help cardholders rebuild their credit score.

It does, however, provide Mastercard Gold benefits, which include:

-       MasterRental Insurance

-       Extended Warranty Coverage

-       Master RoadAssistance Service

-       Travel Assistance Services

It is rare for a credit card designed for consumers with bad credit to offer these valuable benefits with such a low annual fee ($35).

How Is Milestone Gold Mastercard Better Than Other Credit Cards?

Milestone Gold Mastercard does not provide a rewards program; its rates are not low, and it has a $35 annual fee. It still is a great deal for people with poor credit looking for a decent card that can help them build their credit score.

This is what we like about Milestone Gold Mastercard:

-       Reports to all three credit bureaus, which will help you rebuild your credit if you are regular and on-time with payments

-       No cash advance fee for the first year

-       Low annual fee

-       Mastercard Gold benefits

-       Pre-qualification available (no impact on credit score)

-       Free custom card design

So far my personal experience with Milestone gold card I believe is a fraudulent card and company. I only accidentally gave a 1 star meant to give 0 stars. I got approved for card and then never received card it's almost been a month soon and you can't get a hold of anyone unless you know your account number. So hell you can't even cancel it. Yes it's been nearly a month and even when I moved I get all mail at New address already and that's only counting ... bussiness days no weekends.. so this card is worth getting cause it will never show up.
