November 26, 1930 - The initial meeting of the Hormel Employees Credit union was held on November 26, 1930 at 4:00pm in the plant cafeteria. The Board of Directors set the entrance fee at 25 cents and the interest rate on unpaid loan balances was fixed at 1% per month. The maximum loan amount was $50. From our beginning in 1930, Accentra has been dedicated to the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People”. When you walk through our doors you’ll feel like you own the place – because you do!
