Who is Blue Business Plus Card Designed For?

The Blue Business Plus Card from American Express is a perfect pick for businesses with good to excellent credit looking for a card with a 0% APR introductory rate on purchases and balance transfers. It also includes valuable perks, such as buyer protection, extended warranty, travel insurance, and extended warranty.

Another neat feature of this card is that it allows you to synchronize your account statements directly with Quickbooks, which saves time and money when it comes to calculating business expenses and report taxes.

What are the Rates for Blue Business Plus Card?

There is an introductory 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers for 15 months. After that, the purchase and balance transfer rates range from 12.24% APR to 20.24% APR depending on your creditworthiness.

There is also a 29.99% APR penalty fee. You trigger this APR if you are late on two or more payments or you don't make the minimum payment. Once it is triggered, American Express will hit you with the penalty rate until you make a minimum of 12 payments on time.

What Are the Fees for Blue Business Plus Card?

Blue Business Plus Card doesn’t have an annual fee. However, it does have a 2.7% foreign transactions fee. It goes without saying that you will want to keep this card at home when you go on a business trip abroad.

Another fee you need to consider is the $5 or 3% fee, whichever is greater, on balance transfers.

Late payments and returned payments have a $38 fee.

What Is Blue Business Plus Card's Rewards Program Like?

Blue Business Plus Card's rewards program has low reward rates and average redemption value. Cardholders get two membership points for each dollar spent on the first $50,000 in purchases each year and one membership point for every dollar spent after that.

The value of American Express Membership Points varies depending on the card and how you choose to redeem your points. In the case of the American Express Blue, 10,000 points will give you:

- $100 in gift cards

- $70 if you shop at Amazon.com or BestBuy.com

- $50 if you shop with American Express’ merchant partners

What about the Blue Business Plus Card Signup Bonus?

There is no signup bonus.

Does the Blue Business Plus Card Have Any Other Benefits?

Yes, and it’s these additional benefits that make the Blue Business Plus Card worth considering despite its lackluster rewards program.

-       Employee cards at no additional cost

-       Purchase protection

-       Baggage Insurance Plan

-       Global Emergency Assistance

-       Roadside Assistance Hotline

-       Travel Accident Insurance

-       Extended warranty protection

-       Auto rental collision damage waiver

How Is Blue Business Plus Card Better Than Other Credit Cards?

Blue Business Plus Card combines a 15-month 0% APR on new purchases and balance transfers and a relatively low standard APR after that. Just keep an eye on the penalty rate and 2.7% foreign transactions fee. Its rewards program is nothing special, but it has no annual fee and includes valuable membership benefits. Small businesses looking for a low-cost card with generous benefits will appreciate this card.

Had 500 dollar secured card with Wells Fargo for 2 years and applied for this one. Instantly approved 10000 dollar limit.

With the Blue for Business Amex Credit card, you get a card with no annual fee, which is uncommon for business cards. You also get the prestige and customer service associated with American Express. Maybe not the only card in your wallet, but a good additional card.
