They have made it very easy for minorities, refugees, and students to open a checking account with the. They are open about which features will have extra fees and how to opt out unlike other banks and credit unions.

I’ve ran my crediting through this company for at least 2 years, they had help my seemingly and candid with all my issues. I’ve had fraudulent action against me and I filed a claim and it was sought. I trust this company, and there percentages aren’t to bad themselves.

In the past America First CU has been great but this past month they announced they are eliminating their checking account and replacing it with 2 new checking accounts. The first is a classic checking account that is similar to the account they eliminated accept you won't be paid a dividend monthly and other things and a premium account that will cost $6 a month unless you follow 3 criteria ...Show More

I'm not sure where this site got their info from on America First, but it's not accurate.
This credit union only requires a $1.00 initial deposit and they don't charge any monthly servicing fees. I've been with these guys for over 10 years now.
Whoever set this info up looks like they accidentally copied it over from the San Diego credit union description.

If you live near one of the branches, customer service is great. If you need to call, service can be kind of hit or miss, You need at least $25 to open an account and there is a $2 monthly fee. You can do better.
