May or may not recommend

HSBC Basic Checking does not distinguish itself compared to competitors. Although has a modest monthly maintenance fee, it charges if more than 8 withdrawals or checks are made. If you can afford, go for a HSBC Choice or HSBC Premier. HSBC premier is my personal favorite.
