I have had a checking account, savings account and personal loan with Hudson Valley FCU and have always been happy with them. Their customer service is great. Every time I've gone into the Middletown or Newburgh branches, I felt like I was at a friendly small town bank. Hudson Valley has no monthly fees and no minimum to open an account. There is a $30 NSF fee but that's standard for nearly every banking institution. The BBB also gives the credit union its top A+ rating.
