Back in 1936, we originally opened as a credit union for educators. Though times have changed and we’ve grown into so much more, we never lost sight of who we serve. That’s why we partnered with 122 schools and organizations across the state of Hawai‘i in 2020. In addition, we awarded 21 scholarships and granted 41 career enhancement stipends to educators. Our island home is unique, and each of our communities’ needs are different. That’s why we’ve created specialized types of business banking products and services to keep the economy growing. As a trusted partner of Hawai‘i’s local businesses, we understand the impact coming together can make. Giving back to the community is part of our Life matters commitment. In 2020, our staff gladly volunteered 1,456 hours of community service, and HawaiiUSA donated $738,200 to charities and non-profits.

With more than 132,000 members, HawaiiUSA membership includes individuals—and their family members— in the field of education including employees, retirees, students and their parents of a majority of schools on Oahu, Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai, as well as a large number of companies and associational groups.
