Renters Liability Coverage:

Assisted Living Coverage:

Business Property Protection:
This coverage protects business assets in the home. Adding this coverage may help cover inventory, such as cosmetics or kitchen supplies, temporarily stored in your home as you're preparing to sell it or deliver it to customers.
Identity Theft Protection:
This rider protects homeowners in the event of identity fraud and pays for the cost of restoring their identity.
Sewage and Drain Backup Coverage:
This coverage helps you repair water damage from overflowing drains and sewers, broken sump pumps, and damage that results from water moving from the ground up.
Valuable Items:
Valuable personal property coverage protects items such as expensive collections, engagement rings, watches, and other jewelry from theft, loss, or damage.

My one experience with Hartford was good. Several years ago, I bought a renter’s policy for my daughter. It’s always easier to deal with insurance companies when you can reach customer service when you have a question or problem. That was my experience with The Hartford. I never filed a claim and only kept the policy for one year, so I'm hesitant to give a full-throated recommendation.

My mother Marion Swanson from universal City Texas used hardford insurance an AARP member she is 70 years old and on her 7 year of making payments at times doing with out to make her monthly payment it happened her neighbor up stairs apartment set her apartment on fire using gasoline,mind you theese apt are over 60 years old, lead paint and asbestos,my mother reaches out to her agent ...Show More

Very disappointed in what I see how much stress they are causing a family member during this time there was recently a fire in the apartment right up stairs from her . Her neighbor had set the apartment on fire with gasoline and this has caused her a great amount of stress. Going on for over a week now. I had a claim paid out for everything that was damaged in my apartment during a fire just recently, and it was done quickly. I'm now waiting for my next bill, though, to see if that convenience is going to cost me big in insurance premiums. I hope not, but will have to wait and see.

Really mad that after having no claims for a good 7 years that the second I have a very small claim for damage to my property that I am being charged higher rates. You would think that they would want to keep good customers who rarely need them and pay them.

Quick and friendly service whenever I call to ask a question and to adjust a rate. I have a friend who just had a loss in her apartment and she has gotten her insurance money quickly. So I see that as a good sign that they will be there when I need them.

The Hartford is a top notch company, and their renters insurance is no different. I had a claim about a year ago and it was handled in an efficient manner by a very friendly customer service rep and insurance specialist. What a relief to have something go right when you've had a loss.
