Tax Relief Systems is a small tax consulting and mediation firm based in San Pedro, California. The business started in 2009 and is owned by Joe Benfatti, the former head of sales at American Tax Relief. A firm that was brought down by the FTC for fraud charges. Tax Relief Systems is structured as a limited liability corporation and has a staff of eight. Tax Relief Systems does not specifically claim to have tax attorneys on staff but implies it on its homepage when it says: “Contact us for a tax lawyer in Orange County, CA.” However, it does not publish the names or qualifications of the tax professionals it employs. Tax Resolutions Services is a BBB accredited business with an A+ rating.

How Does Tax Relief Systems Work?

Tax Relief Systems offers a free consultation to determine tax relief eligibility. Eligible taxpayers are provided with the strategy Tax Resolution Services plans to follow and a quote for the services involved. Neither its website or the customer representatives we spoke to provided more information of how Tax Relief Systems deals with cases, aside from a list of the negotiations strategies it pursues.

Tax Resolution Services' team of tax specialists follow a wide variety of tax resolution strategies. These include offers in compromise, installment agreements, penalty abatement, innocent spouse recourse, the filing of late returns, and the lifting of wage garnishments and bank levies.

What is Tax Relief Systems' Fee Schedule?

As is the case with most tax relief companies, Tax Relief Systems does not provide a pricing list or fee schedule for its services. Fees are based on the size and difficulty of a case. How is Tax Relief Systems Better/Worse Than Other Tax Relief Companies?

Tax Relief Systems has an A+ rating with the BBB and only two complaints with them in the last three years, all of which were resolved. The company has been in business for six years and, although its fees are not inexpensive, it does offer flexible payments.

However, Tax Relief Systems is a very small company that does not provide the names or qualifications of the tax professional it employs. The company is run by a sales expert whose previous employer was closed down for fraud and it doesn't have a refund policy.

Over the past 5years Ive struggled to find a company to assit me with my Tax dilema, JK Harris was one of the last company I regreted using charging me thousands with absolutely no results. Im worse off now than I was before I got involved with these people, JK Harris out of business not surprised. I Contacted (TRS )Tax Relief Systems with a bit of skepticism. Due to previous experiences with tax help companies I wasnt sure of what I was getting into. After doing the research, ... checking the BBB ,and a few conversations with the owner I was comfortable. Havent completed the process but, without dooubt would recommend TRS to others. Seem to be good a repitible business doing as they say that will do. Working out a payment plan etc. You can also find them on Face Book as well. More Less

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. You are better off doing it on your own. They are a absolute rip off . I was given bad information and was told several different things by different people in the company. I was first given a money back guarantee that they later did not want to honor talking about since there was a 5 day cancellation policy which no one ever mentioned they were only going to refund 50%. We all know it takes more than 5 days ... to even attempt to resolve a IRS debt. They did nothing for me but rip me off out of 50% of the money paid. There was very poor communication from the agents and no follow up. This is one of the worst companies I ever dealt with. AVOID THEM. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY More Less
