BECU was my first bank account and I've had nothing but good experiences with them. I use the Members Advantage Checking and that comes with no minimums, no maintenance fees, and they'll cover up to $3 worth of out-of-network ATMs, plus some other great bonuses. BECU has so far been an acceptional credit union when it comes to normal banking, with reasonable criteria to enter their member advantage program. Acceptional overall.

If you're lucky enough to qualify for this credit union, your account yields are really high and the NSF fees are lower than average at $25. There are also no monthly fees, and you just need $25 to open an account.
