MightCause, previously known as Razoo, is crowdfunding for causes. It's a website that allows people to donate, raise funds, and collaborate toward good causes. From multi-million dollar organizations to small community groups, MightyCause makes online fundraising easy, fun, and engaging for nonprofits and individuals. It is based in Washington, DC and has an A+ rating with the BBB.

How Does MightyCause Work?

Anyone anywhere can set up a free fundraiser on MightyCause and raise money for nonprofits they support. Once you set up a goal and a purpose, it's up to you to spread the word and promote your cause. The MightyCause Foundation disburses the donated funds to the nonprofit, helping them continue to serve their community.

Every registered nonprofit already has a MightyCause page. Once they claim their page, organizations instantly have a year-round fundraising portal and can create campaigns. MightyCause's easy-to-use Team Fundraising features offer businesses a simple, one-stop solution for employee giving and charitable programs.

How Much Does MightyCause Charge in Fees and Commissions?

There are three types of fundraiser with MightyCause: charitable fundraiser, charitable team fundraiser and personal fundraiser. The charitable fundraiser and the charitable team fundraiser types allow for tax-deductible donations, while the personal fundraiser doesn't.

The charitable fundraisers have a 4.9% platform fee and a 2% to 2.9% plus 30 cents fee on credit card contributions.

The personal fundraiser has a flat 6.9% processing fee.

Razoo specializes in fundraisers by individuals, teams and charities to support causes that benefit the public. Although it's possible to request funds for weddings and special occasions, the bulk of fundraisers on the site are for projects like individuals that want to volunteer in developing countries or groups raising funds for a local organization.
