I tried to apply for lending tree and the process made no sense! It was so confusing. They also made it seem like it would be quick to receive funds and here back but that’s not true. They commonly use false advertising to draw in consumers. They advertise rates far lower than available even to the most qualified people and also complete a credit inquiry and send a person's contact info to lenders after that person clicks on a button entitled "check current rates". Very dishonest practices.

I needed a new auto loan and saw their marketing for APR as low as 2.64% for loans (knew I wouldn't get that, but figured they would give me competitive datapoints).
