Message from San Diego County Credit Union

When considering credit unions vs. banks, remember that SDCCU is more than just a financial institution—we’re a dedicated partner in the community, and a trusted resource in all of life’s moments. San Diego County Credit Union is San Diego's largest locally-owned financial institution. With over $10.3 billion in assets, SDCCU is a not-for-profit credit union wholly owned and operated by its members. Unlike most other financial institutions, like big banks, SDCCU does not issue stock or pay dividends to outside stockholders. Instead, earnings are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher dividends on deposits or lower fees.

Buying a new home can be one of the most important purchasing decisions you can make. With so much information out there, it can be overwhelming for those who are unfamiliar with the home buying process. When it comes to home loans and housing rate assistance, San Diego County Credit Union has you covered. Take advantage of these helpful tools below, that were created by our financial experts, or contact one of our branches to speak with a banking expert over the phone or in person!

Review for San Diego County Credit Union Certificate Account

As trustee and executor of my late brother’s estate, I promptly called San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU) to inform them that he had died and that his checking account should be frozen. I followed up in writing with SDCCU including supporting legal paperwork. Therefore, I was shocked to learn that over several months SDCCU went on to make at least 7 known money transfers out of the account without ...Show More

Review for San Diego County CU High Yield Checking

The minimum to open an account is $25 which is not outrageous, plus the NSF fee is $27 which is a little below average. But there is also a $2 monthly fee, which you shouldn't have to put up with. I would look elsewhere.
