Our credit union was founded during the Great Depression on July 23, 1936 when nineteen men employed by the Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railway Company pooled their money in a cigar box. Their mission: provide excellent financial services to the under-represented members of our community. Our great service and quality financial options quickly connected with the people of Alabama. We’re proud to carry on our founding tradition by providing financial services that add value to your life and are easy to understand. Our 20 branch locations proudly serve the following Alabama counties: Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Chilton, Coosa, Cullman, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Walker, and certain areas of Mobile.
