This coverage reimburses the insured for the cost of maintaining a comparable standard of living following a covered loss that exceeds the insured's normal expenses. Renters Liability Coverage:
If a claim is made against you or you are sued as a result of a covered occurrence, your renters personal liability coverage can help to cover the associated legal costs and related damages. What we love about Lemonade Renters and Home Insurance
Lemonade is a relatively new online insurance provider that uses an unusual model to provide renters and home insurance. The company is a certified Public Benefit Corporation. It takes customer’s premium payments, uses the money to pay out claims and handle administrative costs, then takes the leftover funds and donates them to charity.
The company also has a user-friendly claims experience. If you need to file a claim, you can submit all the information through your phone. In many cases, Lemonade’s AI can instantly approve your claim. If it can’t, it refers your claim to a team of humans for consideration.
What could Lemonade Renters and Home Insurance do better?
Lemonade only offers homeowners, renters, and pet insurance policies. If you own a car and want to bundle auto insurance or want other types of coverage such as an umbrella policy, you’ll have to work with a different insurer.
Another drawback to consider is that Lemonade isn’t available in all states. Even if you want to buy coverage from the company, you may find that you live outside of its service area and can’t buy coverage.

Lemonade was founded in 2015 as a public benefit corporation that offers homeowners, renters, and pet insurance policies and that provides support to charitable causes. Since 2015, the company has donated nearly $2 million as part of its giveback program.

We have there renters insurance and have for a few months.. seems like it's ok haven't had to use it for anything. It is there in case of a incident was to happen tho. If you read the small print you would see what's covered and what isn't before there is discrepancy with the policy.

Lemonade is an INCREDIBLE service that I can't recommend enough! They were the first insurance company I used on my own after moving out of my parent's house and they made the process so easy. There are no hidden fees and the app is easy to use / understand. And the costumer service is AMAZING.

Lemonade has spectacular customer service because they have very well trained people helping you out and are really patient as well. They also provide enough information and background security so you know you are dealing with good hands all along. They give one of the lowest renter’s rate in the insurance markets. One major drawback though is their stiff policy and the very limited discount but I think if you are going to pay less, you could sacrifice other options to save money. Overall, they give average but reliable services.

I really enjoyed the process with Lemonade Renters Insurance. When I got my first apartment I had to purchase renters insurance in order to move in. Every other major financial company I called gave me ridiculous rates for renters insurance. But Lemonade gave me a great rate! They were so easy and simple to go through.
