Would not Recommend

If you don't live in a large city, I would not recommend working for Postmates. The pay rate does not accommodate for the amount of driving that is needed. If you live in a place where you can deliver by walking and/or biking, this side hustle might be more for you!

Unfortunately, through working for Postmates, I feel like I just put a lot of miles on my car (one day was about 100 miles) and used too much gas money (about $25) to make the day worth it after several hours of sitting in my car waiting for orders, just to pull about $60 by the end of the day. Postmates is like doordash but slightly better food and drivers I've noticed, worth while since they usually carry restaurants doordash does not.

I have had a few friends have PostMates as a side job and I have heard nothing but great reviews. They have said it is a great way to earn money, but sometimes there are not that many orders that come in so there may be a lot of slow days. As a sidejob, Postmates is pretty easy. It works just like Doordash, Grubhub , or Ubereats. The one thing that I will say about it is that is pays considerably less per order than any other food delivery app that I have used.
