The USAA Rate Advantage Visa Platinum® is designed for people who are affiliated with the military and are looking for a no-frills credit card with rock bottom rates. Members must either be an active (or retired) member of the U.S. military or be related to military personnel to become a USAA member.

What are the Rates for USAA Rate Advantage Visa Platinum®?

The USAA Rate Advantage Visa Platinum® charges the same rate for purchases, balance transfers, and cash advances. The rate is 7.90% APR to 24.90% APR, depending on creditworthiness, and the rate will vary with the market based on the prime rate. There is no introductory rate but all service members receive a 4% APR on all balances for up to 12 months during deployment.

What Are the Fees for USAA Rate Advantage Visa Platinum®?

The American Express® USAA Rewards does not have an annual fee. There is a balance transfer and cash advance fee of 3%, but the maximum fee is $200 per transaction. There is no foreign transaction fee. Late payments and returned payments have a $35 fee.
