They rejected my tax return direct deposit after I filed with the cash app taxes on their app to file my taxes and then charged me for the money they made available and then failed my deposit and when I contacted support they didn't give me a straight answer

Cash App taxes is the only true way of filing taxes for free with out filing paper forms — a method the tax prep firms and the states no longer want to exist. Filing the taxes though the app is not only efficient but also ground-breaking. Cash app can do your taxes, is it the most legit way? No. It works fine but feels fishy. It is an app and I prefer doing my taxes in person.

Credit Karma Tax was a lot better. I filed on the first day with Cash App and my taxes have not be received or accepted by Federal. Credit Karma and TurboTax were always received and accepted within 24 hours. My state isn't available to file at all. I would never recommend Cash App Tax, period.

I filed my federal taxes on 1.24.22, NYS wasn't ready yet, today is 1.28.22 and I still haven't heard if my Federal was received and/or accepted. Still can't file NYS with cash app. I filed my niece's taxes today, both federal and NYS, and received an immediate notice that they were received and seconds later a notice that the federal was accepted. This is the only truly free tax prep service. The others all seem to have their way of charging you for something in the end.
