My opinions on Hello Wallet vary, as I have a variation of opinions. Many can agree that it is very functional and easy to use. I will advise that you don’t keep your money with this bank, there are lots of hidden mode of transaction that will not start to manifest till they have your money at hand. The support service is not at all encouraging, as they can decide to hang up without passing any tangible information. It is important that they fix the necessary things.

Accounts don't update. Complicated to access- you start with HelloWallet, get sent to KeyBank, and back again back. Notes on pending transactions dissappear. The list just keeps going. The only reason I use it is because KeyBank attaches interest rates to my savings account from my Hellocal let score.

I used Hellowallet for years and loved it. Then KeyBank acquired it. It was fine for a year. Then one day I tried to log into my account and got an error message saying they didnt recognize my id. I used Hellowallet for a few years now, and just got an email out of the blue from their new parent company, Keybank, telling me my account has been cancelled. I was a corporate customer. Keybank acquired and 7 months later I get a notification that my account was cancelled, my data is deleted and "thanks so much for being a customer." I got into this because KeyBank, which used to have nice categorizing and reporting tools right on their own website, got rid of those when they "improved" their website. It is close to totally useless for simple straightforward things that I used to easily and routinely do on the KeyBank site. This site is a joke. My largest account could not be added because it was in "beta testing". They had no clue how long it would take. They suggested I add the account manually. For a trading account with over 50 positions that change? Are you kidding me hellowallet? You are a waste of time.

I have not been able to add my bank to wallet and have been in contact with hello wallet since Dec. 27th via phone, email and chat and have not had a fix to my problem. I call & mailbox full. I suggest you look elsewhere for a budgeting application. First, HelloWallet duplicates two of my accounts but they have different transactions in each. I can't remove one to make my balance sheet look proper because I would lose half my transaction history. This app lets you split one transaction into multiple categories, which has been my exact issue with other financial applications. That's the best part of HelloWallet, by far. I've only had HelloWallet for just over a month, but so far it is the best money app I have used. With categorizing the transactions, it definitely does better than the other apps that do it. It is more accurate and doesn't provide me with uncategorized transactions.
