During the Great Depression, Palmer’s only bank closed. So brothers George and Tom Dinsdale, along with some friends, decided to do something to help the community. Despite being farmers by trade, the brothers opened what would become Pinnacle Bank in 1938. In the decades to follow, our bank would grow to serve communities across eight states under the leadership of the Dinsdale family. Roy and Jack, George’s sons, first started expanding our family-owned bank in 1959 with the purchase of the bank in Neligh, Nebraska. Throughout the 60s and 70s, Roy and Jack acquired banks in rural communities across Nebraska. In 1976, Pinnacle Bank opened our first location in Kansas. Steady growth continued throughout the 80s and 90s. As our physical footprint grew, so did our need to streamline our operations. In 1994, we opened our Operations and Data Center. This allowed us to diversify our product and service offerings as well as increase our level of service. At this time, we also entered our first predominately urban markets with our Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska, locations. In 1999, we opened our first location in Missouri, solidifying the three state KMN charter we have today. In 2000, we introduced online banking for our customers and the role of technology in banking has only grown since then. While we’ve expanded our digital offerings, we’ve also continued to invest in our local branches and communities with large scale remodels and new branch openings. We believe that being a friendly local resource as well as providing up-to-date digital services go hand in hand.

Today, Pinnacle Bank KMN serves customers across our three-state region, with two locations in Kansas, seven in Missouri and 66 in Nebraska. Pinnacle Bank has more branch locations in Nebraska than any other bank in the state. As we grew, one community at a time, we recognized that each had a unique culture and set of needs for us to adapt to. That’s why our decisions are made locally. Banking decisions, as well as how we support our communities beyond our branch walls, are decided by people who are a part of and have a vested interest in the community. We’re proud to be part of Pinnacle Bancorp, serving 159 diverse locations in eight states systemwide. While our bank may have grown out of our hometown – our core values have remained a mainstay at every location. We face the future with confidence knowing we have a firm foundation.
