Liability Coverage:

Other Structures Coverage:
This covers structures on the residence premises separated from the dwelling by a clear space or connected to the dwelling by a fence, utility line, or related connection. Examples include a detached garage, tool shed, driveway, swimming pool, gazebo, or fence.
Personal Property Protection:
This insurance protects the items in your home, like your furniture. If they're damaged or lost, personal property coverage could help you cover the cost of replacing them.
Reimbursed Living Expenses:
This coverage reimburses the insured for the cost of maintaining a comparable standard of living following a covered loss that exceeds the insured's normal expenses. For example, it could include an insured's motel bill while fire damage to the home is being repaired or replaced or until the insured moves to a permanent residence.

This covers some of the losses and damage that earthquakes can cause to your home, belongings, and other buildings on your property.
Identity Theft Protection:

Sewage and Drain Backup Coverage:
This coverage helps you repair water damage from overflowing drains and sewers, broken sump pumps, and damage that results from water moving from the ground up.
Valuable Items:
Valuable personal property coverage protects items such as expensive collections, engagement rings, watches, and other jewelry from theft, loss, or damage.

found some issues related to user-friendliness when I visited their website. but then, I got connected to the agent who provided me answers to every question that I asked. so overall not a bad experience

The website is nice and although the automated system is that annoying kind where it asks you to state a few words about why you are calling and you hope it hears it right, the human agent I got connected was friendly.

When it comes to affordability, Metlife Home Insurance is a good Insurance to try out but their customer service and online tools are what I have serious issues with. Their website does not have enough information for clients.

Metlife is a reputable insurance company with adequate coverage for homeowners. It doesn’t offer much if you’re looking for online tools and support. Even its website lacks basic information about its policies, coverage options, and support.

Had water damage to to roofer not doing job correctly. Filed claim. Independent estimator submitted estimate. MetLife came back saying claim was submitted for less than half of actual estimate. Tried to contact adjuster at MetLife corporate office several times without success. Left messages several times with no returned calls.
