Dwelling Coverage:
Also called "dwelling insurance." This is the part of your homeowner's insurance policy that helps pay for the rebuilding or the repair of the physical structure of your home if it's damaged by a covered hazard.
Medical Payments to Others:
This helps cover the medical costs of visitors who are injured on your property. Medical expenses covered usually include costs like ambulance rides, X-rays, surgical procedures, and hospital stays. Note that guest medical coverage doesn't apply to anyone who lives in the home or is listed on your policy.
Liability Coverage:
The personal liability coverage within your homeowner's policy offers coverage for bodily injury and property damage sustained by others for which you or covered residents of your household are legally responsible.
Other Structures Coverage:
This covers structures on the residence premises separated from the dwelling by a clear space or connected to the dwelling by a fence, utility line, or related connection. Examples include a detached garage, tool shed, driveway, swimming pool, gazebo, or fence.
Personal Property Protection:
This coverage protects the items in your home, like your furniture. If they're damaged or stolen, personal property coverage could help you cover the cost of replacing them.
Loss of Use Coverage:
This coverage reimburses the insured for the cost of maintaining a comparable standard of living following a covered loss that exceeds the insured's normal expenses. For example, it could include an insured's motel bill while fire damage to the home is being repaired or replaced or until the insured moves to a permanent residence.

Earthquake Coverage (state-dependent):
This covers some of the losses and damage that earthquakes can cause to your home, belongings, and other buildings on your property.
Identity Theft Protection:
This rider protects homeowners in the event of identity fraud and pays for the cost of restoring their identity.
Valuable Items:
Valuable personal property coverage protects items such as expensive collections, engagement rings, watches, and other jewelry from theft, loss, or damage.

I used them for renters insurance back in college days. Pricing wise, they’re a bit on the higher side but if you’re looking for a well-known insurance company than choose Geico. If not, there’s probably more affordable home insurance out there.

Recently switched with Geico for homeowners insurance. Agent was very helpful and assisted me step by step. Was able to answer questions I'm not familiar with as a first time homeowner. Was able to bundle it with our auto insurance and brought the price lower than our previous insurance company. Only downside is the long automated recordings to be able to get to a live agent.

Super high prices compared to other quotes, and you need to make sure you get insurance ASAP for where you're living because after a certain amount of time, they won't even consider it.

Geico has some of the best rates for renters insurance. The rates are extremely reasonable and reassuring to have the additional layer of security if anything happens to your home and your personal belongings. It takes about 20 minutes to fill out all the information. You will be asked to price every valuable item. Geico is a staple for insurance and I highly recommend that you sign up today!

I had worked with Geico on a claim some years back and found that, though the representatives were nice enough, the company on the whole didn't really seem to have their act completely together. At least from my end, having more than one representative call me to obtain the same information bred some discomfort and unease. I no longer work with them.

I was told by someone at Geico they do not insure in most of Florida. I do not have their insurance currently but it was disappointing that we had our car insurance through them and couldn't bundle. We switched car insurances.

They'll come up with any excuse to why they will not reimburse. I had an issue with furniture and they did not cover anything so I immediately switched. I'm looking to switch from auto insurance with them as well.
