Liability Coverage:
The personal liability coverage within your homeowner's policy offers coverage for bodily injury and property damage sustained by others for which you or covered residents of your household are legally responsible.
Other Structures Coverage:
This covers structures on the residence premises separated from the dwelling by a clear space or connected to the dwelling by a fence, utility line, or related connection. Examples include a detached garage, tool shed, driveway, swimming pool, gazebo, or fence.
Personal Property Protection:
This coverage protects the items in your home, like your furniture. If they're damaged or stolen, personal property coverage could help you cover the cost of replacing them.
Loss of Use Coverage:
This coverage reimburses the insured for the cost of maintaining a comparable standard of living following a covered loss that exceeds the insured's normal expenses. For example, it could include an insured's motel bill while fire damage to the home is being repaired or replaced or until the insured moves to a permanent residence.
The Hanover Home Insurance customers can also add the following riders or endorsements to their home insurance policies:
Assisted Living Coverage:
As well as covering the usual personal property like furniture or jewelry, this rider can also cover hearing aids, false teeth, contact lenses, eyeglasses, medical alert devices, walkers or canes, and wheelchairs. You may also include personal liability coverage for residents and visitors with a choice of limits.
Business Property Protection:
This coverage protects business assets in the home. Adding this coverage may help cover inventory, such as cosmetics or kitchen supplies, temporarily stored in your home as you're preparing to sell it or deliver it to customers.
Earthquake Coverage (state-dependent):
This covers some of the losses and damage that earthquakes can cause to your home, belongings, and other buildings on your property.
Equipment Breakdown Protection:
This protects from loss due to a mechanical or electrical breakdown of nearly any type of equipment, including photocopiers and computers. Coverage applies to the cost to repair or replace the equipment and any other property damaged by the equipment breakdown.
Identity Theft Protection:
This rider protects homeowners in the event of identity fraud and pays for the cost of restoring their identity.
Sewage and Drain Backup Coverage:
This coverage helps you repair water damage from overflowing drains and sewers, broken sump pumps, and damage that results from water moving from the ground up.
Valuable Items:
Valuable personal property coverage protects items such as expensive collections, engagement rings, watches, and other jewelry from theft, loss, or damage.
Watercraft Coverage:
This rider provides protection from liability and damages caused by a boat. This may be enough if you have a small boat or if you only use it on your property. However, you may want to consider a separate boat insurance policy for larger boats and longer trips.

Worst company I have ever known.
I have insured my house.
Unfortunately, an insured event happened and I sent a claim to "Hanover".
Firstly, they never call and report on the progress of the claim.

I also don't have much experience with this company, but I've seen several ads for it in the past and a few commercials on tv or youtube. They seem like a pretty decent company so I would recommend them.

The best home owners insurance by far! The Hanover Home Insurance has 24/7 customer service to answer any questions that I may have about my coverage. The claim forgiveness is also a plus so I don't have to worry about my renewal premium increasing.

I have been using Hanover home insurance since I purchased my property and I have never had a problem getting any claims from them. They offer great services. I got discounts on my premium for installing smoke detectors and a burglary alarm system. I like their loyalty reward program for customers.
