National Life offers term, whole, universal, variable, and indexed variable life insurance, offers annuities, provides retirement planning, offers living benefit rider. However, It doesn't offer online quotes, it has limited rider options, and commission-based sales representatives may be incentivized to sell certain products. That's why I'm not sure I would recommend it to anyone.

National Life Insurance was my late uncle's policy provider. It was not easy getting compensation for my uncle's family after filing claim for his life insurance. The family eventually got compensated after much stress. Though the endowment was substantive and reasonable, the process was strenuous. Barring the tedious process policyholder often go through, If you want good compensation for your family after your demise without, they can be relied upon.

The customer service personnel are dull and seemingly uninterested in the job they’re doing. Before the 2 people I interacted with knew I was cancelling my policy, they were impolite with short, curt responses. Upon cancelling my policy 4 days after my account was charged National Life refused to refund my account.
