“No monthly account fee and free statements.” I’ve been banking with SSFCU for 10 years and they tell you “No monthly account fee and free statements.” I came to find out today that they charge a monthly fee of $6.00 per month for a “Power Protection Account Fee”. This bank gave out my financial information to a relative without my consent. During the pandemic while my city was experiencing the highest infection rates in the US they charged me overdraft fees for a .99 charge. I was lost my phone and it took me 3 months to get back into my locked email and by then they had closed my account. Why would a bank continue to charge ...Show More

I've been with this credit union for over 20 years. I've been able to resolve most problems I've had with them by contacting customer service. I've dealt with banks, and I believe credit unions are easier to work with.

Review for Security Service FCU Power Protected Checking

This is a big credit union with almost a million members and $8 billion in assets. There is no minimum to open an account and there are no monthly fees. NSF fees are $27.50 which is a little below average.
